Very sick chapter, once again. Hope ptrn works out it’s legal issues. Must be scary not knowing if you still have an income secured. Anyways, GL!

Can the cards work on living creatures? Or just anything organic, like, say he used a card on (for the sake of argument) Tifa, and then used another card on something like, DNA from someone with an active meta gene, or perhaps someone like Superman or Wonder Woman (setting aside how exactly he’d get his hands on stuff like that). Then fused them, would Tifa become a meta (or an Amazon or part Kryptonian) you get the idea. I ask because it could be kinda cool to see him, at the very least consider such things (not experimenting on Tifa I mean, just with the capabilities of the cards).
Or going in the opposite direction, could he say, put something in a card, and then try a sorta of reverse fusion with a blank card, basically trying to divide something in to component parts, or just remove one thing from another. To give a rough idea, say he comes across someone with a bullet lodged in them, could he place that person in the card, then trying pulling the bullet into a blank card.
Not trying to tell you to put anything in, just wondering if those are things that could theoretically happen. Because honestly the card system is kinda interesting to think about, and I’m hoping to see it explored more. My only major questions about it so far are, 1.) where did they come from, and 2.) why hasn’t the Penguin asked for them back if he knows they exist, or tried killing Vergil to get them back if it’s some kind of “imprints on the first person who uses them” type thing.
Final thoughts, like the story so far, was kinda weirded out by Tifa showing up at first, but so far it seems to have worked for the story. For one thing it seems like she’s going to have to be the muscle of the duo at least at the start, so she serves a purpose in the story. Secondly the fact that both characters have been ripped from their home universe gives them a level of kinship, which is a good basis for a relationship to grow from, whatever that relationship might become. Thirdly while she’s probably stronger then the average human on DC earth, its not so great a difference (or at the very least so great a difference) that one would question why Batman hasn’t looked into the matter yet. At the moment our primary characters are too low level to be noticed when other villains are around taking priority. Also I like how it seems to be a Villain story, or at least an Anti-Hero story, where the character knows what he is doing is wrong, and doesn’t try to justify it to themselves or other, like so many villain or anti-hero stories on this site or in fiction in general seem to do. They know what they are doing is wrong, they hate themselves or doing it, but they can’t see any other choice at the moment, and they aren’t trying to spin it so they are somehow in the right for doing what they are doing.

Brutal, but in a good way. I loved everything in this chapter. From learning how Vergil's powers worked, his interactions with Tifa and Dr. Thompkins, and how he's choosing to make money. I really liked the bit with the guy that tried to rob him. It showed that Vergil is a cool cucumber, and that's exactly what he'll need in a place like Gotham. Loving this story.

I am unfortunately not a fan of the powers your Mc has. I don’t know something just doesn’t feel right to me. Your other story going native is the one I like more. I just can’t get into this story maybe in a month or something I’ll try to read this again.

So fantastically Gotham. There’s something so goddamn cool about a person that doesn’t have powers or know how to use 50 martial arts trying to figure it out. You’re nailing it, can’t wait for next week

Alright, I am reading this story.
Vergil is a interesting character. He is feeling the Gotham vibe of the City. He's not a hero. He is just a guy trying to survive...that will eventually reach greatness.
Right now, Vergil is the Penguin subordinate.
Ideas of how Vergil can use to power:
1. Meta-Human gene to accelerate his ability to move up in the Ranks of Gotham Rogues Gallery.
2. Train himself up to use Martial Arts and Weapons more over the years of experience.
3. Vergil starts his own Gang/Company to work for the Criminal Underworld.
4. Make alliances with certain Villains'/Criminals- Black Mask, The Riddler, Killer Croc or Court of Owls.
5. Survive a Gothams: No Man's Land incident to acquire legitimate power as Business man.
Sorry this review is short.
I am just getting a feel for this story and I just started re-watching "Young Justice" series.
I might review more in the future, but "Going Native" is my favorite story and that story is the reason why I am reading this story.
Keep up the good work, stay healthy, and stay safe!
