I am absolutely thrilled to see this story continue after so long. With the ongoing rewrite of the first book as well as going years between updates I feared this story had been abandoned. After so long I thought I would have trouble getting back into the narrative, but there's something about your writing that pulled me in after the first few paragraphs. Using music to compliment the storytelling is a unique touch that I haven't seen anywhere else that aids in setting the vibe. While your action scenes are still the best I have seen from any work, I feel that this fight sequence drifted too far into "anime" territory. I recognize that this is your story, your Slayer, but I think this "anime" style mega brawl is wandering too far from the source material. Additionally the scale of the fight feels off, I don't think miles of countryside would be destroyed in a bout between two combatants unless they were the size of titan demons. However there were definite attempts to add Doom elements into the fight, such as freezing multiple "dregs" and finishing them with a punch or stomp, and I greatly appreciated this. I may also have been taking the wrong impressions from the fight sequence, as the written word is a challenging medium for conveying action scenes. I look foreword to seeing how Charlie's new powers as well as the Slayer's new gear from eternal will fare in combat against actual demonic forces, but I may not have to wait too long to find out. This series has always been my favorite in this small niche genre and it is fantastic that such an amazing work is continuing after so much time.
