Can't believe it took me this long to get to this chapter. For some reason Fanfiction hasn't been sending me my alerts about story updates.
Phenomenal work as always. I'm curious to see how Wyncott will shake things up. Also interesting that she's willing to possibly break the students brains in the simulation, but even she relents to the possibility of Wolf's past incident being recreated in CQC training.
Eagerly looking forward to the next chapter, hopefully the site will actually tell me when you release it.

I dropped everything to read this chapter after receiving the notification-
I absolutely LOVE how the story is developing and the way you're able to humanize every character in a way that undeniably gives all of them life outside of a concrete purpose. Wyncott's interaction with Dunaway in particular was amazing, and Wyncott's characterization throughout this chapter is done so well I can't even-

I got really invested in this story! I felt really bad for Wolf during the flight training, even though he kinda did ask for the confrontation with James.
It's definitely a personal issue that James has against Wolf. Must be really deep regarding Wolf's father, because talk down a cadet like that, "you can try and fail", my my, someone's not acting professional.

Man, it feels like forever since I remember finding the original version of this story and staying up late blazing through it, Part II, and what you'd released of Part III. Now I've discovered this remake and its still as good as I remember. Such a compelling storyline for one of my favorite video game antagonists. I look forward to the release of more chapters and fervently hope you finish it. I'll miss having the original to reread while waiting for new updates. I know they won't be quick, real life has impacting my own schedules for writing, but I look forward to rereading the epic saga you started all those years ago.

God, James is such a hypocritical piece of shit, first with the Benomian im ch1 he says "It doesn't matter how you're born" and now he wants Wolf to suffer, just because of who his father was, if I was Peppy in that situation I would've slapped him accross the face.
This isn't a negative of the story, if anything a positve on beikg able to make me hate a character so efficiently, I just needed to do some venting

Once again, I cannot express the amount of incredible detail you go into when writing your depiction of Lylat. Everything from species xenophobia on news radio to the setting descriptions to fake brand names gives your story an authenticity rarely seen in many fanfictions. Not to mention your very naturalistic dialogue and sprinklings of lore within every scene and character exchange really bring some life into the galaxy.
I absolutely look forward to seeing you post again!

Absolutely love the way this story is written! You have great imagery and the personalities really shine. Wolf's inner thoughts about thinking he may not even be capable of keeping his promise to Peppy makes him feel very real.
