This could be a story about anyone. I don't see anything that relates specifically to Castle & Beckett, so why just fill in the blanks with their names? Why not post this as original work (on some other site, obv)? It's possible to write abstract, nihilistic fiction, but this doesn't have the style or substance for that. What is the point?

Well that’s a cheery tale for a Monday morning.
I’m wondering what the author hoped to achieve by writing this. Highlight the continuing abuses of women throughout the world? Show the horrors of human trafficking? Try to gain support for the continued fight against AIDS?

Please forgive me for asking this, but after reading the story, I find my self confused as to what value do you, the author, get out of writing this? For me, I can't really see why a bad ending story is of any interest to anyone, but hey, maybe you're different. Do you like these stories? Is that why you write them?
