That was the darkest episode you've ever written so far. Quintessa had a strong control over Optimus just months before Cybertron's fall. Worst of all, Optimus had no idea what was happening to him. What Quintessa is doing is just as bad as what The Fallen did; she might be even worse than The Fallen. What she did to Optimus: experimenting on him, injecting him with Dark Energon, erasing his memories of her, using mind control on him, & sending him out to kill other Autobots; manipulating Sari; fusing Ratchet & Megatron together; influencing Megatron to start the Autobot-Decepticon War; turning Silas into a Sparkeater; conquering Cybertron & enslaving the population! She must die!
Nice job on introducing Afterburn from the Titan Magazine Transformers Comics! Too bad he got killed as quickly as he was introduced.
So we get to see how Elita and Optimus have been doing together since their bonding ceremony. Very sweet but sad considering what happened one month later.
The Elite Guard has set up a program to prevent any incidents like The Fallen from happening again. Nice touch calling it the "Megatronus" Program.
Rattletrap is dead, killed by a mind controlled Optimus Prime. Never liked that scumbag of a rat anyway but still, that was horrifying!
Ultra Magnus has decided to step down as Magnus and has appointed Optimus as his successor. While none of what happened with The Fallen was his fault, I can understand why he wants to step down. I'm worried about him, though. Quintessa said in the scene after this one that once Optimus is officially declared a Magnus, she will conquer Cybertron. I'm now REALLY worried about what's going to happen to him. Is Optimus going to kill him? Will the other Autobots hate him for what THE FALLEN did? Will he be enslaved by Quintessa? Will he be exiled from Cybertron? Will he still go by Ultra or will he to back to using his pre-Elite Guard name, Tyger, after stepping down? Will he ever find out what happened to Solus? Will he forgive himself for Sentinel's death? Bumblebee has the Magnus Hammer and I'm dying to know what happened to Ultra. IS HE DEAD!? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HIM!?
*gets slapped* Ow! * turns to look at whoever slapped her but their already gone* Thanks... I guess? *turns back to screen* Where did they go?
...
...
...
Anyways...
So the mind controlled Optimus and the rest of Quintessa's zombie-fied/mind controlled forces have found Elita and her group, no thanks to Ironfirst. Ironfirst, buddy, I know you wanted to save your Conjunx but think about it for a second: would he approve of you betraying your fellow Autobots just so you can save him?
Judging by Jetfire's reaction to Optimus' arrival, Jetstorm is dead. Fuck, that's one character confirmed dead & Quintessa is going to brainwash and/or experiment on Elita's group. If it when Optimus is freed from that witch's conttolled, he's gonna feel worse than Ultra Magnus did after The Fallen was defeated. Poor Optimus is gonna need all the love and support from his friends and family when this is all over.
I'm officially caught up with this season! Holy frick, your writing has improved a lot since last season and the format helps a lot with that improvement! I can't wait until the next episode!
See you in the next review!

The was the best Megatron origin story I've ever read on this and any other FanFiction site. The writing is top-notch and Megatron's backstory & motivations for fighting are explored in length.
Megatron's origins is a combination of his origins from the original IDW run (being forged instead of coming straight from the Well of Allsparks, being a miner, and losing a friend in an unjust shooting by the Autobots) and Prime (being a gladiator). This combination works well and its one of the best I've ever read!
So the reason why Lugnut & Strika are loyal to Megatron is because Megatron spared Lugnut in gladiatorial combat. It reminds me of how Megatron spared Soundwave in the Prime novels. I love it!
So the reason why Megatron started the war in the first place was because of how the Decepticons were mistreated by the Autobots. Megatron started the war with noble intentions, but he ended up leading the 'Cons down a dark path. The oppressed became the oppressors.
It seems like by the time that Ultra Magnus got into office, the Autobots began reforming the system. Decimus Prime genuinely wanted to help the Decepticons and Warpath was upset when the Autotroopers shot & killed the group of miners that Megatron was a part of. Heck, even seasons 4 & 5 showed how the Autobots had changed both during & after the war: Steve the Vehicon was able to leave the 'Cons & get a job at Knockout's Club, Drift was given a second chance & got to join the Autobots, and Optimus (with Ultra Magnus' support) let Megatron go after defeating The Fallen. The Decepticons became oppressive while the Autobots continued to improve and reform. Thankfully, Megatron has seen the error of his ways and is working on reforming the 'Cons.
You're one of the few people who've shown how Megazarak was ousted as leader of the Decepticons and exiled. I thank you for that! You did good!
So Quintessa was the one who convinced Megatron to start the war! That glitch! She's been planning on conquering Cybertron for centuries! If or when she dies, I'm going to be grinning like an idiot.
Decimus and Pharma are complete opposites of their IDW selves. Decimus is compassionate and Pharma actually wants to help his patients. Love that!
There was an actual Longarm. There was an actual Longarm and Shockwave killed him & stole his face. The chills I got when I read that part, holy shit! It was creepy!
I'm the present day, Megatron and Slipstream have grown closer. Nice and sad at the same time, considering what Quintessa did to Megs. Speaking of which...
That ending! Oh my God that ending! Megatron and Ratchet have officially become aware of just WHAT happened to them. I wonder how things will go with them in the future. Not talking about romance, but about how they'll work together as the season progresses.

First off, kudos to Dinobot King for helping you write this episode. You both did a great job writing it.
Okay, this episode was the most hilarious episode of the season. Bringing back the Human Error aspect of the show gave this season a well deserved break from the horror of the previous 4 episodes.
Bumblebee noticing Minerva's... err... assets and Sari having to talk to him about boundaries, hilarious! Also Warpath being an overprotective father, lol! And Bulkhead, Brawn, and Hot Shot fighting over a burger, pffft ha! And Slias losing it over Franky's loud music, I lost it.
So Slipstream now knows about Megatron's condition. She didn't react well, but at least Rodimus talked her out of doing something stupid.
Hmm, an alliance between Autobots and Decepticons? I love that idea!
So you decided to bring in Miko from TFP. Not my favorite character, but at least she's being a friend towards Sari while the Techno-Organic is away from the Autobots. Though those comments from Quintessa regarding Miko seems to imply something more.
I loved how Ironhide was still being loving towards Chromia despite her becoming human; 'Hide's a good boyfriend. I also loved how Warpath reassured Minerva about her appearance; he's a good dad. And I especially love how Optimus, Minerva, and Bulkhead comforted Bumblebee about being mute.
Sari started having doubts about her mother and Perceptor noticed something wrong about Optimus before Cybertron's fell. Quite chilling if you ask me.
Sparkeaters. Fucking Sparkeaters!. Quintessa has fucking Sparkeaters! If things weren't bad for the 'Bots and 'Cons before, then they are now. That ending have me chills. Holy shit!
Things have gotten intense, and I can't wait for the rest of the season!

Okay, so Rodimus is allowing Slipstream to see Megatron. That's good, but she's not gonna be happy when she sees what Quintessa did to Megs.
So the flashback part of this episode focuses on Windblade, which is a nice look into her character and how she's been since season 5. She's now leading the Jet Twins and the newly flight-capable Arielbots. Cool!
The Nebulans, hmmm. I admit that I had to look them up on , since I haven't read any of the comics that they were in not watched the G1 episodes they appeared in. Had to look up Lord Varak as well, but as far as I could tell, you wrote him really well and I liked how you referenced his Headmaster form when he fought Windblade. Creepy how he used parts of dead Autobots and Decepticons to build it. I was quite happy when Windblade gave him the fate that he deserves.
Back on present day Cybertron, Elita and a bunch of other Autobots that we all know are still alive, including the Arielbots and a barely online Ironhide. While some of my fears have been alleviated, there's just one thing...
Jetstorm is dead. From the tone of what Jetfire said regarding his brother, Jetstorm was killed. That sucks and poor Jetfire is left without his twin. You said in the tags on AO3 that things will get worse before they get better, I'm beginning to see that.
Great episode as always!

That was an intense opening. I didn't expect Ratchet/Megatron to try to commit suicide. Poor Arcee, though, having to see Ratchet in all that pain and then try to kill himself. All the more reason why Quintessa needs to die.
The flashback sequence with Arcee, Ratchet, and Wheelie was great. Ratchet is Chief Medical Officer, Arcee is helping 'Bots find jobs, and poor Wheelie is all alone since Blurr is part of that rehabilitation group Ultra Magnus is in. Then we found out that somebody wants the unemployment rate to remain as high as it is. That same somebody is also after Wheelie for something that the young 'Bot saw, leaving Ratchet to protect him.
When it was revealed that Lockdown & Swindle were responsible for the unemployment rate and the ones who were after Wheelie, I immediately thought, "This is Quintessa's doing." Afterall, they did team up with her at the end of season 5.
Ratchet's little spark-to-spark with Wheelie was great and gave us a little insight into the grouchy medic. I love how he protected Wheelie from Lockdown. Arcee and Wheelie had their awesome moments as well: Arcee teaming up with Depth Charge & Mirage to stop Swindle and Wheelie defending Ratchet from Lockdown when the medic was down.
Lockdown hinting to Ratchet the fall of Cybertron and the Chaos Bringer gave me chills.
Hound's introduction and characterization was one of the little things that I liked about this episode. Him defending Ratchet and Wheelie against Lockdown was gold. He obviously became close friends with 'Cee and Ratchet, which is why he feels guilty over Ratchet's condition during the present day.
I love how Ratchet and Arcee took Wheelie in after stopping Lockdown and Swindle. As far as I can tell, 'Ratch and 'Cee adopted Wheelie.
I have a feeling that keeping Ratchet's current condition a secret from Wheelie is going to backfire badly on Arcee.
Speaking of current events, the Decepticons have located the Autobot base! Slipstream isn't going to be happy when she finds out what happened to Megatron.
Great episode!

So this chapter officially confirms that Quintessa is Sari's mother. As far as I'm concerned, Quintessa doesn't deserve to be called "mom". Afterall, she used Sari to steal technology that could track down Cybertronians and to conquer Cybertron. She wasn't even there when Sari was growing up! Hell, Quitessa even erased Isaac's memory of her existence! And then we find out that she's been working for M.E.C.H., that fragging glitch! That just proves what an awful she is.
And for the record, this rant isn't directed at DogsOfMischief99, its directed at Quintessa herself. The author did a great job at showing how terrible she is and why she needs to be sent to Hell.
Sari was very well written this episode. From what she's been up to since season 5, her reasons for being away from the Autobots, confronting a Karen, her mixed feelings regarding her "mom", kicking M.E.C.H.'s but, and saving the 'Bots from Quintessa, she was awesome this episode.
You know for claiming that their "saving humanity", M.E.C.H. sure is killing a bunch of humans in order to achieve their goal. Considering that their teaming up with an alien robot in order to stop a bunch of alien robots, they're a bunch of hypocrites.
Bulkhead, Jazz, Bumblebee, and Sari saved Rodimus and Ratchet/Megatron yes! Unfortunately, Quintessa is tracking them.
I'm not worried about how the other 'Bots and 'Cons are going to respond Ratchet/Megatron's condition. I'm SPECIFICALLY worried about how Arcee and Slipstream are going to react to Ratchet/Megatron's condition.
That has to hard for Bumblebee to fight his own father. It was hard for everyone to fight to Optimus, but it had to be the hardest on Bumblebee to fight him. Speaking of which...

AHEM! Sorry about that, but now I'm really worried about Ultra Magnus! Is he dead? When did 'Bee get the hammer? IS ULTRA OKAY!? Sorry, Ultra is my favorite character so I'm going to be worried about him until there's confirmation if he's dead or alive. We'll have to wait and see what has happened to him as the season progresses.

So it begins...
Cybertron is in ruins. What a way to open the episode. Things have gone to slag and no one knows where everyone is. Then Rodimus Prime shows up, who as far as I can tell us going to be the main character of this season. And there are Cybertronian Knights and Primitives under the influence of Dark Energon, very reminiscent of the Terrorcons from TFP. This opening immediately sets the tone of this season and I love it.
Then we are brought to Cybertron, 6 months before the fall. So we'll be seeing how Cybertron fell via flashbacks, which is a unique approach. Optimus is in charge at the moment and there is an Arielbot program. I guess we'll be seeing more flyers.
Ultra Magnus is in therapy after the events of last season. The poor guy sounds sparkbroken and I just want to give him a hug. He's still blaming himself for everything The Fallen has done, not helped by the fact that he's been in this state-of-mind for three months. Thankfully, he's started to get better and his talk with Elita seemed to have helped. While I'm happy to see Ultra again, I'm still worried about what's going to happen to him as the season progresses.
Back on Earth, relations between humans and Autobots have gotten worse. That's not good. And there's a new anti-Cybertronian group out there: M.E.C.H. As someone who's watched TFP in its entirety, slag is gonna go down on Earth.
So Cyclonus has become even more insane since we last saw him and is having visions of the future. And since Cyclonus is in Autobot territory, Megatron had to call Optimus for help. That just proves how crazy Cyclonus has become. Unfortunately, his visions of the future turned out to be correct.
Quintessa. So she's the one responsible for Optimus' disappearance and memory loss. Now we know that she did it just so she can control him. What's worse is that Optimus has no idea what's going on. It reminds me of how Ultra Magnus had no idea that The Fallen was possessing him last season.
You know how I mentioned in my review of season 5 that I might know who that mysterious femme was at the episode 28? Well, you just proved me wrong. I'm not mad, just shocked. I originally thought that femme was Solus Prime being controlled by that Holocron thing that The Fallen had during "The Forgotten Legacy". I'm still wondering what happened to Solus though.
Elita and Optimus have finally become sparkmates! Yes!
So Quintessa claims that she's Sari's mother. I don't know if she's telling the truth or not, but she does claim to know Professor Sumdac. Guess we'll have to wait and see if she's telling the truth.
Now back to the fallen Cybertron. Let's just say that I hate Quintessa more than I did before. I've hated her since TLK but now I hate her even more. She's the reason why Cybertron is in shambles, but that's just part of the reason why I hate her. She merged Megatron and Ratchet together; while a brilliant callback to the Marvel comics in your part, how dare she fuse them together! All in the name of "reclaiming what is rightfully belongs to her"! Glitch, the reason why the Cybertronians rebelled against the Quintessons was because they were tired of being slaves.
And now she has full control over Optimus and has ordered him to destroy Rodimus.
With that said, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this fic. Your writing has improved a lot since last season and I can't wait for the rest of season 6. Until then, I have six more episodes to read.

Oh. My. God! I thought last chapter was the darkest chapter you’ve written, but this takes the cake. Not only is Optimus now under the control of Quintessa, but he’s also killed Afterburn and Rattletrap. All while saying that it’s in the name of “duty”. Rattletrap may have been a con bot, but I don’t think that he deserved to go out like that. Overall, great chapter. I liked that you included Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” because it’s one of my favorite songs from Michael Bay’s Transformers movies. Also liked Skids and Mudlfap in this chapter. I totally imagined Tom Kenny and Reno playing the two like in Revenge of the Fallen.
Aside from that, I can’t wait for the next two chapters because they’re two parters and hopefully will explain how Cybertron fell to the Quintessons. I don’t know what you’ve got planned for the next two chapters, but I hope that they’re good. One last thing. Please update Friendly Neighboorhood Spider-Man Season 2: Web of Shadows. Sorry if this seems rude. It’s just that it’s been at least ten months since you posted that story and I don’t want you to forget it. I know your just getting your writing mojo back and I can try to wait a little longer until the second chapter of that story.
Other than that, see you next time!

You are right. This was one of the darkest chapters you’ve written. Especially the ending with Megatron and Ratchet’s debauched form in pain. Nice job writing Megatron’s backstory in this chapter. I liked how you took materials from Prime with Megatron being a gladiator and designated as a number before he gave himself the name Megatron. His story really showed how villains are born from those who are corrupt in society like how it was addressed in the movie Joker.
Aside from that, it’s nice to see you update one of your stories again. I’m just waiting for the second chapter of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2: Web of Shadows because it’s been a couple months since you published it. Sorry if I’m being rude, but I don’t want you to ignore your Marvel stories. Your own Sacred Timeline with What If?, Spider-Man and Wolverine got me into reading FanFiction in the first place. Hope that you get some time to update that story.
Other than that, see you next time.
P.S. What did you think of Spider-Man: No Way Home? I’m only asking because it was the best Spider-Man movie I’ve seen since Spider-Verse and I want to know what you thought of the movie when you first saw it.
