It was alright. Some mistakes here and there and it had some good moments such as Shepard's accurate characterisation without any emasculation ritual along with the (spoiler) Blue Suns ambush. The latter probably being the high point of the series.
Minus points obviously for not really doing anything romantic right until the very last chapter which was clearly rushed to shit. I wish this was a proper novelisation with Shepard's personality and background. You did him justice and gave him some interesting quirks that didn't feel degrading to his character. Would have been nice to see that expanded upon and the drawn-out Tali/Shepard romance you created here given more depth. It's quite clear, as you state, that you wanted to rush it judging from the flippant resolution of the Thane plotline and the rushed "seal-the-deal" at the end.
Overall, it's a 6/10 from me

Uhhh... Not exactly. First off, Shepard's bones weren't fortified with titanium, they were woven with a synthetic lattice weave. You also forgot to mention the synthetic webbing in his skin that reduces kinetic damage and acts as a conduit for medigel. I remember another fanfic describing it as being resistant to small arms fire, which makes sense to me. Think it was Adamo?

I don't think I like how apparently Quarians were super tall before the war. Biologically doesn't really make much sense as a vitamin D supplements would be processed just the same in any biological creature. It also puts a damper on the physical dynamic between shepard and Tali, her being attracted to his taller, broader frame.
We also see Quarians as the same height in the flashbacks during ME3 itself so we know they didn't shrink in 300 years.

Cozy story you crafted here, had a lot of fun reading it. My favorite parts were the first 22 or so chapters with the events of ME1. Really nice wholesome moments In there that build on the characters with fun interactions. Wish you did the full ME1 arc including Virmire, I was looking forward to that part but was disappointed when I realized you skipped it. Still a great read though.
I kinda dislike that it took 63 chapters for Tali and Shepard to enter a relationship and the story suddenly ended before much else could happen between them. That's a bit of a downside to an otherwise great fic.
