This was good. Will Naofumi be able to save rifana before she dies again and isn’t there a knight in prison that eventually becomes his sensei sorry can’t remember her name. Bitch makes her appearance soon here’s hoping he manages to mitigate the fallout since I can’t see him make her an ally. Will Naofumi get more slaves or party members earlier or new characters in the party.

Beautiful. Seriously man. This is exactly what I was hoping for and more. Maybe you can save Rifana in time or perhaps get more monster comrades than Filo? It would be hilarious to see the Apex of enemy species to be under the Shield Hero. Filorial King/Queen, Griffon King/Queen, and Dragon King/Queen working together with the Shield Hero and are raised as siblings. It would be an ironic contrast to the previous generations where they hated each other. Just a suggestion if you needed ideas for comrades. Maybe get the Green haired girl early before her obsession.

It was a good chapter and its good to see this fic updated again, but i have a little worry about the shields i don't know if he got some shield offscreen but if he did i like to read even if is just a line or two talking about because shields are important thing to Naofumi specially the leaf and medicine ones.
P.S:I only posted this review because of the paragraph/line saying that Naofumi was trying to make medicine and in the original he had so little problems doing this because of the shields.

I really like this chapter to the point that I wondered how demi-human societies work, even if that's not a thing directly brought up in the chapter.
Since any child could theoretically age up to physical maturity within the time span of a week, most demi-human parents probably avoid visible deaths and any source of exp gains like the plague in order to hold on to their children's childhood. Additionally, children themselves can feasibly entertain the idea of marriage earlier and it be an option (not including the customs of a medieval society). And then there's the practical application of having the ability to quickly create an army of physical-adult child soldiers.
Interesting, because of Ripfana, being with the shield hero in the romantic sense became an option in Canon. Or maybe that was Raphtalia dealing with the raging hormones. Huh. I wonder if that dynamic changes slightly here due to spending more time as a child around Naofumi. Maybe I'm reading into things too much.

Glad to see this update! Rather cute how a simple difference of Naofumi being super caring from the get go is enough to have Raphtalia jump through her development faster than usual.
I think that line Naofumi said was interesting though: "I don't want you to lose yourself". Admittedly Canon doesnt expand too much on our favorite Tanuki girl when it doesnt involve her relation to Naofumi, so this little bit of insight from him in regards to Raphtalia stood out. Unless he's just trying to help her keep as much innocence as she can before she's forced to grow up to survive their adventure.
All in all, enjoyed myself! Hope to see more in the future!
