Just reread story from chapter one today. Read it before as was coming out and loved it. Still holds up a one of the top one piece story's on this site. Really a shame has not been updated in so long. Even till now this stands out amount the bunch in terms of writing and character.
Reading the author note I understand how intimidateing writing in this world must be. But maybe in terms of writing having things happen different but end with similar results and ignore canon as things progress cause no way not to past water 7. Croc is just a bigger arlong when you get down to it. Skypiea is important for plot.
Again of you never write another chapter thats ok, thank you for the great story, will read your other story just cause like this one so much

Oda It's a genius and it's a fact. But you yourself limit yourself to the canon. And I don’t get it. Yes, there are arches that are important and cannot be avoided - Chopper's Arch, Alabasta's Arch. They introduce us to Chopper, Vivi and Robin. But you write that the events in Alabasta will remain unchanged. Why? What's stopping you from rewriting this arch ?! Laziness? Luffy was king! He has experience in negotiations, he can go straight to the king and talk to him, he can catch a peasant in Nanahan and go to the Goat with Vivi, he can defeat Crocodile in the first battle or in the second, as the author wishes! But you go clearly according to the canon! Why, do not I understand?!
You could skip the Little Garden Arc and somehow get to Chopper Island, arrange a battle on it against the agents of Barrock Works, for example. You can write an original arc before sending them to Skypiea or Water 7. You can take your time to Sabaody and sail around the other islands with your crew. But you don't. You decided to stick to the canon and don't even want to change it. And I really don't understand Why fanfic writers do this. You were very good at rewriting the East Blue arches, and you can do the same with the Grand Line arches, but you don't want to!
The Grand Line is big and there are many ways to go astray and get to another island on a different path. You can think of anything you want. The world of One Piece is large and it is not limited only to the canon. That's why people write fanfiction and invent their own stories. To show and expand the world invented by Oda. But everything always borders on the canon. It is Oda who is in a hurry to tell us his story as quickly as possible, it is he who is limited by the framework of the release of the chapters of the manga, because he is not young and cannot draw forever, as well as stretch his arches. But you have a huge world, good imagination and a desire to write something original of your own. So what's the problem? Write. Unlimited yourself, expand the world, rewrite the canon.
If I could write I would have done it, but I cannot. And English is not my native language, I can only read other authors and leave comments. I had just finished reading the East Blue Arc when I noticed that there had been no sales since March and looked at the last chapter where I saw this post of yours and was very upset.
Sorry to get angry. It just boiled, and it is a shame that such a wonderful fanfiction has become a hostage of the canon. You could change that and go the other way. And I really don't understand why you adhere to the canon. I love this story. I hope you will come back to writing it.

Well it seems like the worst had happened. Not that I complain since I started to read this because I liked "Fate: Bonds Beyond Humanity" so much but still a shame. I really would love to see a Levely where either Luffy himself or Genzo is present and they talk with all the other royalties (and maybe helps Sabo?)
Anyways please continue your great work no matter on what story you work on.

Canon price for a undetermined devil fruit is around 100,000,000 beri, with the Ope Ope no Mi being 5,000,000,000 beri. And thats because is used to grant immortality.
For scale, you need the combined bounty of more than 200,000 Kaidos to get all that absurd sum of money.

Pretty good chapter. It's hard to not be constrained by the One Piece canon order, you basically have to have a Luffy trained in the New World before his journey starts so he can basically do whatever he wants, and most authors just aren't going to be comfortable making up a whole bunch of original arcs, or be comfortable with the butterfly effect if the Straw Hats take a different route.
I actually prefer harem stories, and I love High School DxD, but I've only watched the original FateStay Night, so I dunno if I'll check out your crossover. Will probably depend on who the protagonist and what the sourcedestination universes are.

Hooray Nami figured out how to enter her hybrid form. Dalton helped just saying don't overthink it. Luffy figured out to do armament haki all over his body even if it exhausts him lots imagine that will help against Crocodile needs to just train it more. Yes the tension I felt it still with Sanji fight and avalanche. I'm sad we won't be getting usual chapter releases but understand One Piece is hard fanfic to write about cause world super connected you don't know what to change that messes up world. Like Wapol he survives accidently makes a new metal that used by Vegapunk on Kuma cyborg parts and helps him create Pacifistas. Take time your writing great keeping the strawhats personalities same with couple changes but not to much they feel like absolutely different people I care about them still. I'll keep checking in cause this one of best stories of my favorite series look forward to Alabasta what you do with it.

Fantastic chapter , had just about everything ,Sanji fighting the entirety of wapol’s forces was really well done . Luffy fighting the avalanche was something I’ve never read in a fic before, then my girl Nami climbing the mountain was great , glad she managed to activate her hybrid form when it mattered the most , the form you described is something I would love to see , I’m gutted you are taking a break , but I’m following you so I will read more when you post it because I love it ,I won’t be reading the new story , I have not seen dxd or fate , but I wish you luck with it.

Also, I kinda hope your story gets a fanart or something, it is just so intriguing to see how a King Luffy and others will look like (to me at least).
Oof, Sanji past hit waaay too soon but it was a good fuel to the fire.
