They really didnt handle that well. Nor did Lyra herself.
Honestly, its kind of pointless to blow up on a seer/etc that right out tells you they are a seer. Its just... pointless, pointless angst. It doesnt actually change anything, and the only people it can hurt, are you, and the seer/etc.
It is a different story with a reincarnee, but this specific person, Lyra, has said she is a Seer, of sorts.
What occured there, from this perspective... is not pretty. Nymphadora blowing up on her, unwarranted. Perspective is an odd thing, but I can say that this scene works. At the same time, I can also say that the characters in this scene are wrong in their actions. A seer is a being to be pitied. Especially the sort that Lyra has posited herself to be.

This is great work. Love every bit of it. I also can't tell you how refreshing it is to read a Dumbledore who isn't some caricatured villain. Can't wait for more. :)
