This was just awesome... While my heart is ripped into shreds, I enjoyed reading every single second of this. In fact, all of your stories are pure gold. This story made me cry.
It seems cruel that soldiers cannot attain only wish to spend their lives with their loved ones due to their love and duty towards their country.
And what really hit me is that once someone dies, you would never meet them anymore. There is no Greek Underworld where you can meet and spend time with whom you love in Elysium. When someone dies, you can never meet them, even after you die.
