I think too many people fall into the trap of narrating fluffy moments too much, or making Re-L (after the anime ends) just do a 180 from her previous personality and be all smiles and sunshines and kisses... that's where you succeed. Re-L is a mistery to Vincent, she has her moments in which she enjoys making his life pain, and yet she has her tender moments which are much sweeter when you don't expect them. What I'm trying to say is that you described their relationship perfectly and all of the things that I love about this little one-shot.
Marvelous work, truly a hidden gem of a fanfic based on a hidden gem of an anime.
