Sonny is so obnoxious. Nina did something stupid, tell her you don't want to talk to her and you can't forgive her right now. Rules, conditions, consequences, I hate that man.
I know our little guy is a bit OCD but I'm not sure if that is a clear cut symptom of being on the spectrum or not. But, I have heard of children on the spectrum sticking to a routine and like things to be the same etc. Our little guy reads at a level quite ahead of his peers, but doesn't always retain or comprehend what he is reading. There is a specific term for it but honestly don't remember now. I wonder why Olivia is making such a fuss about it or sticking her head in the sand. No it is not what you want for your child to have to deal with, but my goodness they are giving her a horrific life threatening diagnosis.
I know Jason has gone to Elizabeth a couple times to help him with one of his other women pals. She helped him get Sam's unauthorized surgery and I think she helped him with something when Carly was banged in Shady Brook or Ferncliff this last time. I can't remember when it was but at one point I remember some line between him and Elizabeth in their back and forth where he flat out told her he would not run to her but if she ever needed him he would never turn her away.
But, no he doesn't go to the women who has been in his life, they always go to him. So, how much you want to bet Britt's common sense will dissolve into a puddle of goo if she gets Jason to help and she will be back on the Jason train with Carly still being the ringmaster.

So today was okay. Sonny went to Nina and gave her all the rules/consequences of hurting him and his family. And he stated that he can and will change the rules at any given time. Wow... can you imagine doing this every time someone hurt you? Must be nice to have that much authority to get everyone to bow to you. But then she gave him Mike's watch and he softened a bit. He said he might be able to forgive her one day.
I agree with what you said before. The little guy playing Leo is doing a fabulous job. Though today he was organizing everything in Carly's office while Carly and Olivia talked. It also made me think maybe he has OCD. Is OCD a symptom of autism? He asked Carly for an ornament on her desk and she gave it to him. That part made me think Asperger's. Then Olivia got very offended when Brooklyn spoke to her about Leo and denied it.
So Scott wants Britt to seek Jason's help in finding Leisl. This bugs me so much. For once I wish JASON would be the one to court/seek out the girl. It's always the girl going to him. If he actually ends up fighting for Carly, then I would have to say Jarly is end game. I have never seen him seek out a woman, it's always the other way around.
I feel like it's been a month since we last saw Finn and Elizabeth. I guess they had a few scenes when Cam sent her a photo from the wedding. But I wish they'd focus more on them and the Peter/Drew storyline.

Forgot about the Gladys/Dev comment- my watching was pretty hit or miss but I agree. I think she only interacted with him a couple of times. But, Gladys talks a good game and tries to think of any angle in a situation that helps her. So, I guess if she thought stating how she missed Dev would make her look good, she would do it.

I wouldn't mind an English Country Estate either.
Congratulations, that's awesome! I think a lot of places are still offering online options as much as in person, so that is great!
So Nicholas really did not hear a word Alexis said. I get that they are upset and Spencer needs to be truly sorry. But I'm not sure that was the best way to handle it. Laura is going to be very upset with them all.
I would very much love if that was a Liason foreshadowing but I don't want it if it is just a blip on his way back to Sam. Britt can have him or Carly for all I care. I don't want a case where Elizabeth is the villain yet again. I also don't want it to be where Jason has basically put his feelings for Carly in a box labeled do not open and Elizabeth is an easy second choice. I actually don't want it for Sam either. They don't deserve to be the person he chooses because he cannot have Carly. I didn't like it when Liz pinged between Jason and Lucky, she hurt Jason immensely.
I can see Phyllis being a bit put off with Nina, because she has grown to care about Sonny/Mike but Peter wouldn't have had the chance to burn down her bar if Nina hadn't lied. But then giving her possible hope by reminding her that she loves Sonny, isn't good either.
So Jason had to talk Carly out of doing something stupid. The man is a glutton for punishment. Hmm, I wonder if Carly's need for revenge gets so bad that Jason end's up getting hurt somehow. I remember during the hotel fire, Carly and Jason talked about love and being together and Jason told her no and something to the effect that she would destroy him if they went there , I wish I could remember the lines. Wonder if they are going with that angle. Probably not but it is a thought.

That sounds fun. My mom's cousin did a family tree about ten years ago tracing back to Devon, England. Apparently our ancestors owned an estate. Too bad they didn't pass it down lol.
So I have some news. I'm "going back to school" in January. I put it in quotes because it's all online, except some exams might be in person and I'll have two field placements. It's the Librarian and Information Technician program. I'll only be doing part-time though, because I'll still have to work. So I'm excited.
I did notice that Britt referenced Elizabeth more than Sam. I would say that the writers don't care enough about details/background knowing that Britt spends more time with Elizabeth... however, the writing has been better so I feel like they would take that into consideration. But at the same time, with the better writing, it could also be foreshadowing something. Not quite sure, but it is interesting.
Today's show wasn't that exciting. Carly was planning her revenge spree against Nina but Jason talked her out of it. And Phyllis went to Nina and kind of contradicted herself lol. First she berated Nina for hurting Sonny and his family, then next thing you know she's reminding Nina about how in love she was with Mike and not to let him go O_o
Not much more to write home about. Nikolas and Ava were annoying. They decided it's best for Spencer to hit rock bottom... but if I heard correctly they're going to help him hit rock bottom and then Nikolas will be the loving father. Um, that's not exactly the advice Alexis gave you, Nikolas.
The Alexis and Shawn scenes were probably the most decent, but a little boring. Ohh and this was ridiculous. Gladys was saying how much Dev meant to her and he was like a grandson to her. Didn't she only know him for a couple months? Lol.

Yeah, I started it a few years ago and did well for a while, but then hit a few road blocks with several ancestors in that 4th/5th generation back and stepped away for while. But was reading a distant cousins new blog and kind of figured what the heck. Didn't find anything on them I didn't already know.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother, but I am happy that she is going to be okay. Falls are horrible and they make you feel unsecure for a while.
You make a good point about how things have shifted a bit on who can give some truths to Carson. I think I just added Britt to my adored list for now. I wonder why Carly would gift him back to Britt rather than trying to run interference for him and Sam. Did you notice in their talk that Britt reference Elizabeth still carrying a torch for Jason? Now, I do think on a level, she has loved him most of her adult life but I didn't sense that she was pining for him when she was with Franco. Britt reference Elizabeth more than Sam in the whole second place thing, but it could be that she is around Elizabeth more and really doesn't know much about Jasam as a couple.
I know, I wanted to slap Sonny when he said that, Jason said it too. Geeze, like Brando couldn't weigh the pros and cons and come up with I want my baby to have a living, breathing father? Let's just paint Sasha as the villain. Speaking of Sasha, I like that she isn't flaying Nina. I don't think that everyone in town needs an opinion nor should Nina have to become the town pariah because she sinned against Carson.
Oh, my Cameron Webber. Seriously, he is far more trusting than he should be. I like that he is a good kid and that he wants to see the best in people but he comes across as way too innocent right now. He is the son of Elizabeth Webber and Zander Smith, there is know way that he would not have some fire in him. I don't want him to morph back to fire breathing Cam but come on dude just a few month's ago you would have seen through Esme a bit. I feel like Esme is Carly to Cam's Jason.
Alexis has been getting decent material too. If only Laura was in town, she and Alexis are really the only two who could sit Spencer and Nicholas down and tell to knock it off. Not sure how I feel about Ava having Spencer arrested. On one hand, I do kind of think he deserves it. He targeted Avery in a way but given Spencer's childhood and tension with his father, this might just make it worse. and Yeah, she was all kinds of creepy, but this is the Ava, I remember best.

Do you mean your genealogy? That's cool.
My grandma had a fall on Saturday, but praise God it wasn't as bad as it could've been. She was very stiff and sore, but was much better today. And it looks like someone punched her in the eye. No concussion and she didn't break anything, thank goodness.
I didn't find today's too bad. Not amazing, but good parts and of course annoying parts.
"Is Sasha pressuring you to leave?" Are you kidding me? She's having his baby, she has the right to say, uh no violence around our child.
LOVED Alexis' advice to Nikolas. The writing for Alexis has been decent lately. Not as good as it could be, but decent.
Ava seemed a little creepy at the end. Like her old roots are coming back.
I wish they wouldn't write Cam as naïve and Joss as the one who sees through Esme. Calling Emma Scorpio...
Okay, Britt totally gets the points today. She was amazing. So spot on. Does Carly really believe she's not in control of Jason?
I have to say... As annoyed as I've been the last few weeks with Carson and company so in our faces and running rampant with their judgmental attitudes... I do feel like the writers are somewhat leveling the playing field when it comes to Carson and company vs everyone else. It's still not as balanced as it should be, but better. For the longest time it was like 95 to 5, but now I feel like it's 70 to 30. Britt was able to give Carly some hard truths. She hasn't even been seeking them out, they seek her out. And Leisl laid into Jason a bit (but I was she was even harder on him). The show is definitely better than it has been in years.

I went on a Genealogy binge and haven't watched last week yet, but I am watching today. It has been okay but nothing overwhelming. Your respite from the Dynamic Duo is over.
I won't get into too much until you get to see it. But, I like the Alexis/Nicholas exchange.
It looks like Carly is basically trying to bequeath Jason back to Britt and Britt is tell her some home truths- I think you will like it.
Okay- I'll wait to see what you think.

I think my viewing was still hit or miss the time Sam was ill and shot Sonny. But, I do seem to recall that anyone who could give her grief did. I had to go check out your other story, it looks like I did read it you originally wrote it, but review as a guest. But, since I was there I had to read it again. It was really good.
Good point about Michael. He is less judgmental than the others. He certainly is more passive with Carly than he should be. He has to be almost 30 at this point. But, then again, Carly snaps her fingers and they all seem to run and do her bidding. Even Ava, to a degree, now sings Carly's praises.

I don't find Michael as bad as Joss. What bothers me about Michael is how he lets Carly dictate to him. Sometimes he seems too passive. But he does remind me of Alan most out of his parents/grandparents.
Oh I can remember when Sam was in the hospital for the cat poop disease and Alexis called Julian to inform him. Then Jason/Drew and Kristina laid into both of them and came down really hard on Alexis for calling him. Like can he not show concern over his daughter? They can never do any right it seems. I was so mad. I actually wrote a one shot based on that scene called the Hypocrites if you're interested. I had Diane show up and scold Drew and Kristina for it.

I didn't see a lot of the julexis/Jasam stuff but I know a lot people were not happy with how freely the hypocrisy flowed. I am a JM diehard but even I can admit he can be very do as I say but don't do as I do. I think it is the Carson phenomenon. Any one who is within their orbit for great lengths of time tend to pick up their judgmental mannerisms. Joss and Michael have become just as bad (Maybe I should wish for Willow and Wiley to run far and fast before they become infected with it). OG Jason had his moments of being judgy but not to the manner he can be now. I miss that version of JM.

That's true about Elizabeth. I still feel like it's different though. Carson and Jasam would make a career out of marching around town putting people in their place even when it's none of their business. But yes, Elizabeth going off on people about Franco even when they were nowhere near him was annoying. It was like, is she really trying to convince them or is she trying to convince herself? But being out of her Franco-fog and Sam out of her Jason-fog has done wonders. Though even when Jason was gone Sam was hypocritical at times, but overall she was much better. I do feel like it was kicking in again when Drew had the Jason Morgan name, but she really went downhill when the real Jason returned.
I do agree about Drew/Dream/Lake. When he was Jake Doe/Jake, I liked him with Elizabeth and he was good with the boys. I was at the time hoping he was Jason and would choose Elizabeth. When Carly pushed the fact he was Jason and Nikolas/Liz got bussed, I was annoyed too and no longer wanted him to be Jason. And what ticked me even more since I was a Samtrick fan was that Patrick suddenly got bussed too. It was all for the name Jason Morgan. Sam laid into Patrick, Nikolas, and I believe Liz too? Yeah, I wasn't on board for the new Jasam and wished at first he never returned. But slowly BM was making me like his version of Jason. He was so cute and good with Jake and Danny, didn't completely drop Carson but wouldn't allow them to control him, he got out of the mob, and put Sam and the boys first. So I guess you can say I was back and forth on his character, but when we got to this point... I was like... wait... am I actually becoming a Jason Morgan fan? Lol. But I hated how both he and Sam seemed very judgmental of Alexis and Julian. Did Sam forget when Alexis didn't approve of her with Jason in the beginning? And at this point Sam had "her Jason", yet she wouldn't let Alexis be happy. But over all I was enjoying this version of Jasam, yet I felt like I was betraying my loyalty to Alexis/Samlexis lol. When SB returned, I was hoping they'd make BM Jason Q and say that he was switched out with Jason M after the accident. But I was kind of relieved that they made him Drew. So I was never actually a Jasam fan during that time period, I was a Dream fan and felt better about it :P And I shipped them even more when he was revealed as Drew.
But yeah, I will always love Samtrick best. I really miss them.

I'm happy that there is a Phyllis sighting. I usually don't not enjoy newbies but I really liked Lenny and I like Phyllis. I can see her still adoring Sonny because he was probably on his dimplefest best behavior. Everyone is expected to adore Carly or face some kind of wrath. Although, Phyllis has a pretty good BS meter, I wonder if she was just humoring Carly so she didn't need earplugs.
Speaking of Carly, of course the sanctimonious shrew is going to have something to say about everything. When has Carly ever stood on her own two feet? Never. Not liking Joss either, but Esme is icky and I sure hope Elizabeth Webber has taught my beloved Cameron on how to spot BS. I'm not digging Cam and Joss anymore, but you are correct, Esme is no better. Calling Emma Scorpio- Drake or Lila-Rae Alacazar. My precious Cam Webber needs an anti-Carly clone.
I can live with a bit of hypocrisy and someone sticking their nose in when they shouldn't but I hate it when it becomes a gang up on one character or when certain characters do it all the time . coughs carson.
Elizabeth has been known to do it and sometimes, I'm okay with it and other times I want to say hush woman, move about your business. The times that Elizabeth was recently yippity-yapping at Jason. Some of it I understood. Some of it I just wanted her to shut up. While at this point, I feel like Jason's lack of relationship with Jake is squarely in Jason's court. I can't help but want to smack her because she hit him at a low time asking him to give up his rights to Jake. I fully believe, Jason could have told her no and she would have backed down. But, as Elizabeth diehard, I still hate that time. It is part of why I didn't like Sam for a very long time. But I will say that both Sam and Elizabeth, tend to apologize once they recognize they went over the line. Where as others just move along like nothing ever happened.
I agree with you ranking for Sam's pairings. I really liked Samtrick. Sante is still new but I might rank them over BM's Dream. Which is funny because, if Sam had an alternate pairing from Jason. I always said I'd pick BM to come back as Drew. But, there were parts of BM's portray of Jason and Drew that I still didn't like or maybe I am still brittle because Elizabeth got the villain edit and I got tired of BM's chest thumping, growling, snorting, eyes bugged out of his head portrayal- should have clued people in he wasn't Jason Morgan. Sante are fresh and fun. Sam has been going for Dante and vice versa. He isn't overbearing with her, but he stands his ground when he thinks she is being ridiculous or putting herself in jeopardy and she the same. They seem to respect each other.
I was never a Jasam fan or maybe it goes back to that Liason fan thing- Courtney was finally not an issue and then in waltz's Sam. I know I didn't like how they began.
Ugh. I have be an adult today- put it off too long. I actually have to holiday shop and possibly through some groceries in the cart too. I hate stores. Wish me luck.
Just for fun, since I'm now thinking about Sam and her pairings. This is how I would rank her pairings:
1. Samtrick
2. Dream
3. Sante
4. Lusam (back in the day I probably would've put them higher, but I more just like their potential and their chemistry, not how they actually were)
5. Pre-2006 Jasam (I have to admit it, I liked them before 2006 lol. But not enough to want them back)
6. Sam/Jax
7. Siam
8. Post-2006 Jasam
9. Samson (though I didn't like them at all, so they and post-2006 Jasam probably shouldn't be on this list whatsoever :P )

Well, I wished for one episode and I got two Carson, etc-free episodes. I suppose I should count my blessings :P
"Try standing on your own two feet instead of asking someone to bail you out." Okay... WOW... seriously, Carly? She ran into Spencer and laid into him because of Avery. She needs to practice what she preaches. And Josslyn laid into Nina. I think this is one of things I hate most... I hated it when Sam did it too... when they run around town condemning people and handing out advice to those who don't ask for it, all the while forgetting their own faults (I don't think Sam has been doing it since Jason wouldn't let her take him over the border?). It should've been Ava who got angry at Spencer for bringing Avery into it. We didn't need to see Carly do it.
Phyllis brought Sonny his things from Nixen Falls and met Carly. She seemed like she adores both of them, rme. But after Carly left she was standing up for Nina to Sonny and he was pondering it.
Esme wants Cam to help with Spencer. She says she can't help him but that Cam needs to support him and be there for him. She was all emotional and I don't get what she's trying to do. But Cam says he's still Spencer's cousin and he doesn't hate him but hates what he did. And Joss arrived just as Esme smiled at Cam and said he's such a good guy. Yeah, sorry Joss, don't feel that bad for you right now. But I do worry if Esme tries to take Cam. I think Cam deserves better than both at this point. Unless Joss changes, but I'm getting more and more sick of her.
I agree about Sam. The Sam I love seems to be returning. Still needs a lot of work but she's more free and like I mentioned above, she doesn't seem to be running around town acting all high and mighty. I still think she was at her best when Jason was gone. She was a good mother, put Danny first, had a good relationship with Alexis and Molly (and I assume Kristina long distance offscreen) and interacted with a lot of characters. While I couldn't stand Silas, she was still more well rounded with him, so I'd choose her to be with him over Jason any day. I'll still loved her best with Patrick, but was good with Drew too (other than the attachment to the Jason Morgan name). It will be interesting when Drew returns, but I do hope Sante can have a little bit of a run.
Oh yes, I agree about the scenes Austin is bringing for the Qs. But I would prefer him to have some shade and show that the Qs are right to be suspicious, even if they redeem him well later on. I just don't like when they bring in a new character and he knows everything and is smarter than the current characters. I would've preferred Monica notice the autism and keep Austin involved with Maxie and trying to get into ELQ for now. It just feels forced having him in the autism storyline.
Yay, long weekend for both of us!
