I think you can do a lot more with this story if you started the story when or around the time lux was born. Giving a perspective on how lux came to make all these fancy eye power techniques would be awesome.

Just wanna say that "well over twenty" is very very small number of huntsmen and huntresses, even if only considering Mistral the city. Should be at least 50-100 considering it is the capital and holds the Academy. Otherwise, good chapter.

In most rwby fics, whenever there is an insert, the teams are always kept the same, or they only add one more member to one so that the team has 5 people. In particular, I think that this is only something that authors use with little imagination, just to follow the story as it is with a few small changes.
I still wish him luck in the rest of the story. I for my part say goodbye.

I am loving your story, please continue like this. although I do have a question, as I know the silver eyes contain magic which would imply that the silver eyed warriors have magic. So that would imply that somehow they could use magic to improve themselves and even face the maidens on equal terms. My question would be, what magic would Lux use to use his in case he has it? Will he use skills from other anime or series that can be recreated in RWBY? an example Rokushiki from One Piece or some taijutsu style skills from Naruto? or even jutsus with the dust of different kinds.
