I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. You portrayed Brennan's delight with the baby shower perfectly...it made me smile that she was so happy with it. I also completely loved Booth's trips up and down the stairs to make a perfect 'nest' for Brennan's bed rest. Having Booth and Brennan work together to finish up her book was a nice touch as well-Booth really was full of great solutions to keep his family safe. I was so happy to see you back with this chapter. Hope you are immensely enjoying your retirement and your grandson.

they are so funny! she is evolving to a more normal reaction to an intimate relationship with Booth. It is so nice to see this happen. AND so funny when Booth got to their bedroom and had to walk in front of friends and colleagues in only his boxers then the towel but on the other hand...I AM SURE THEY ENJOYED IT! YES!

Oh boy, does this bring back memories.
I have great difficulty in restraining myself from fits of absolute RAGE over the lies, the pretense that birthing women are allowed any say-so in what's going to happen, at least if you give birth in a typical American hospital.
NOBODY is going to read your "birth plan"... they'll probably tell you to read it to them, and if you're a Brennan-like person as I was (i.e., given to writing long, detailed explanations), they'll interrupt you and tell you to get to the point.
And if any of your choices is in any way different from the obstetrical nurses' established, usual routine, they'll pretend to politely try to persuade you to let them do it their way, but if you don't knuckle under and concede to the obstetrical nurses' wishes, well ... they'll defacto ignore your wishes and perhaps just simply come less often to check in on you, so as to spare themselves contact with your annoying attitudes.
American hospitals' routines are established for the sake of the medical staff, so that they can react on auto-pilot, to minimize the possibilities of something important being forgotten to be done because they'd suddenly been asked to do things differently than the way that they are used to doing them, and in that break from established routine, maybe something critical might get missed or forgotten.
"Choices" "birthplans" ... maybe in a speciality birthing center, but in a normal American hospital ... NOT in MY experience!
