Somehow I don't think Edward is going to kill Bella in the park (would make for a bit of a short story), he's bit too invested in her and her smells and blank mind. Loved it, very different Edward from After Nightfall. Looking forward to more.

I loved this chapter! I think dark edward is such an underappreciated concept, and of course you would be the perfect author for the job! Your writing style is so different with this book compared to After Nightfall. But I love it. It fits the story so well, your writing almost seems sharper if that makes any sense. It's also very similar (not to be contradictory) but you're voice in this story is just as unique as in After Nightfall.
I love the setup you have going on, I'm incredibly intrigued as to where everything's going. And I cannot wait until we get to see Edward and the Cullens reunion/meeting, as well as newborn bella! I'm so excited for this new story and it is exactly what I needed out of a story right now! Unfortunately my notifications are still being wack so I might be late to read/review as you put more chapters out, but I assure you it's not because I'm neglecting it. I wanted to say once again this was written beautifully and I loved everything about it! ️

Girl, this is such a great start.
I'm enjoying this side of Edward, even though I do wish he'd eventually somehow make contact with Carlisle and Esme. Whether it be intentional or accidentally.
It was totally Bella how trusting Bulla was when it came to Edward who wanted to kill her.
I like how Edward is slowly realizing he is finally becoming attractive to a woman. And of course it is the one he was going to make his meal. What a dilemma. Haha!
I can't wait to read the next chapter.

I really enjoyed this first chapter. It’s a bit strange to consider that Edward has given up his “vegetarian” lifestyle for 80 years or so. Especially since his desire to be worthy and good was so strong, but I’m very curious to see where you’re going with this version.
I grew up on a very secluded Island near Seattle in the he 60’s-70’s. At Bella’s age I too would have gone with Edward for a midnight walk, as I trusted almost everyone then. Oh the innocence of youth! Looking forward to the next chapter soon! ️
