Aww, that's awesome! Just one question: how did that kid beat Misty with a Geodude? Unless the Geodude didn't enter the battle until her last Pokemon was already close to fainting. I guess it was just a throwaway occurence anyway; the gym battle really doesn't have anything to do with the story other than showing that life goes on while Misty is missing Ash, right? I love how you had her receive a letter (as opposed to getting a phone call), that was really cool.

A beautifully written fic, especially for a first attempt! Though the plot is generic, you made it your own and truly brought out Misty's emotions at being separated from Ash. Great job! Now, I'm off to read the rest of your fics!

it was very good when they left each other in the anime that was it. it was like its over but this gives me hope, all the newer episodes suck b/c they just dont have like a common romance about them that they occasionally had with the old ones.

I like the theme and the concept. I kinda have a hard time believing Ash could write something like that, but all of us pokeshipping writers have to stretch his character because he is indeed that romantically challenged. I like it a lot.

I think it's really good. I thought that part of the letter was a little OOC, but it still flowed well. I imagine Misty would be very lonely all alone all the time like that. I've been housesitting alone all week for a coworker, and I have to say, that when I open up the door to let the dog back in, I get thoughts like "God, what if some random person comes in when I open that door?". Terrible!
