It doesn't really look like anyone has addressed the elephant in the room yet, but I don't think we're going to actually get a proper ending for this story. It's been nearly two months since the last chapter has been posted, so it's probably safe to assume this story is dead. Which is unfortunate because I wanted to see the end.
So my review is don't read it at all or just read to chapter 22 and assume everyone meets up again and lives happily ever after.

This was confusing. A lot of drama for first chapter\paragraph, to much for me personally.
The first half of the chapter I kept wondering what's going on, is he selling alcohol in a school? Some of the people are teachers are adults (the doctor). He thinks he does it for his family but his family doesn't appreciate it? I would assume they would not accept money he gives them in that case and if he doesn't give its not to help.
I might have gotten it wrong, like I said, I found it confusing at first.
I also don't want to really read about an MC with his character, seems extremely angst.
Some tags on the way the plot will go will help: EvilMC, Realism, etc. Mainly for future readers, good luck.

The ending of this chapter gives me the impression that something is going to happen to Matt, and I don't really like it. I've heard statements similar to Matt's in the past, it always takes a turn for the worst.

I’m enjoying the hell out of this so far. The exposition was really well done and I can sense some Lee and Clementine vibes from Matt and Lauren. I like the Lord of the Flies like division between Matt and Blair’s gangs. Matt definitely comes off as the civilized one while Blair and his crew will likely become bandits to some degree.
Keep it up.

You're not giving up are you? Because you usually post once a week, and it's been more than that, and that's usually a sign the author is contemplating on wether it's worth going on. I mean, you have little to no support and I understand that it feels like a waste of time, but I don't think it is.

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but keep doing what you're doing. I didn't have much faith at first because western adaptations always fail, but this is actually turning into a respectable experience.
