Excellent chapter! I love that nobody important died, or got turned into the moon, OR was allowed to commit mass murder. Or kidnapped anyone for that matter;)
I wish I has the mental energy to evaluate and give a proper review, but instead I just want you to know how much I’ve enjoyed the most recent chapters. Wonderful conclusion to a canon episode, (or I guess the time period that is the rough equivalent to one, with tangents added in)
and I look forward to seeing where you take things next!

“What is wrong with you?" he yelled. "You're not wanted! Nobody likes you! Nobody respects you! Nobody cares! Everybody despises you! Why do you still try to be part of their lives? Why do you waste your time trying to help people who would never do the same for you? Why do you try to earn the respect of people who will never respect you? I. Will. Never. Be. Your. Friend! Give up! Go away!"
Goodness. He might be yelling at the water spirit, but I think this is what Zuko believes about himself. Maybe some of it subconsciously at this point.
“This wasn't right. This wasn't how it was supposed to treat him. It wasn't supposed to get angry at him. It wasn't supposed to attack him physically. He was shocked by its anger, hurt and confused. How could it be angry? And why was the fire spirit angry? He was on its side. He was one of its people.”
Oh wow. Does he even realize that what he’s saying applies to him?
