I really love stories where James and Lily aren't dead, and try to set things right.
Lily and James should have had a backup plan in case the fidelius charm was broken.
They shouldn't have only relied on that. I love stories where they take matters into their own hands. It's great how Harry would have been able to be raised by two loving parents.
Congratulations!

I like this version of events and wholly agree to whom the villains are.
Albus' history with abused kids (Riddle, Snape, ?) should be very closely investigated as if he is fit to be near children if he survives his incarceration.
I like that Dumbledore had no chance to do it to Harry
Someone should hold McG accountable for her role in Harry's placement and she should Not become Headmistress as she was complicit too.
She never tried to reign in Dumbledore's plots and machinations... oh shed bleat out a protest, but then she was as firm as a cooked noodle.
Yay, Fudge was fudged up and no one will support him for higher office, totally earned outcome for him and now maybe the Toad won't be able to do her nastiness either?
With the admission from Peter that the mark had to be taken willingly, will they turn to those that lied about being Imperio'd or bought their way free be finally given some form of truth potion or spell?
Well, this is a few years to late, but I just found this gem.

Great job. Realistic. But it required folks to pay attention. But it required common sense

Great story! I love stories where the characters change things for the good because they are a bit smarter than their canon counterparts.

On AO3 there is a good story where Lily and James LEAVE.
So do the Longbottoms and Grangers.
SOMETHING WASN'T RIGHT SO WE LEFT

This was a really cool one-shot. The adults thinking and taking matters into their hands. Dispensing justice and kids growing up just being typical kids and not soldier boys. Thanks for sharing.
