the story is fun so far but there is an awful lot of time spent on the regency/Victorian era politics. I know it's a pretty regular trope in HP fanfic but the amount of 'scions' and 'heiresses' that I've read so far has been a bit jarring. the stories well written, there is some potential for great character interactions. personally I feel some of this is slowed down by the amount of time spent on customs etc.

Fucking stones and pounds. I know metric is too much to ask for a closed off wizarding community, but I wish some fics would use some other obscure archaic measurements so even imperial system users would be equally flabbergasted. For example, for Durmstrang (and Slavic territory) Wizards could use pyadi and arshins. Let me see someone trying to figure out how long several diagonal sazhens are the same way I have to recalculate a height given in feet and inches.
