If she's looking to beat The Room 128 Incident, she should ask Nora about that time room 216 needed new sheets, like, ALL new sheets the morning after a certain someone checked in.
I knew it wasn't going to go bad, but wondering what weird things an alien gets up to when nobody's around made me nervous of what Lailani would find.
There are a couple typos ("rechangres" and "hybernating") but it was suitably cute, innocent and funny, like our favorite little tropical mouse Lailani the cool-as-snow Celeste.
And, as Cypher said, when I saw who is the focus of this story, my first thought was Sarah Wiedenheft sitting in the recording booth and talking to herself.

The new line about the equator does fit Lailani better. Sorry I couldn't offer any suggestions in time.
The Sarah Wiedenheft voices meet at last! This is another fun, character-driven story. Lailani's "too nice too be true" personality shines in every nervous step and every overly polite exchange. She has a neat line about her "tenure on the island". Do you headcanon her as from another island?
I wouldn't mind seeing this prompt continued. There's lots of comedy and cute interactions to be mined from Celeste taking extended hotel stay.
