Gee Loki deciding to take advantage of the Ravagers by giving them work specifically targeting potential enemies for their pirate like raids. Advantages of such things usually involve having a backer for a source of funding. If their normal form of work would dry up or have issues with there's a fall back. It would also allow access to potential resources like Intel on targets.
Still one more to go and Harry would have encountered the full set. The talks about Thanos's goal being somehow eco related really doesn't make much sense when consider the potential for different birth rates. Especially when the MCU had him destroy the stones so it couldn't be repeated. Things like wars and disease curb population growth. If those don't occur then it's easy for populations to increase dramatically. Then if factor in races that may already be at risk due to limited genetic variety can make it worse.

Well this sets things up for the showdown with Ronan and potential shifts during the confrontation. With Harry involved they have a bit more reinforcements they could call upon though may not change to much. After all Ronan does have the stone and would potentially use it a bit more than shown in movie. Going along the general involvement I'd expect Harry to come in contact with the power of this stone as well. Overall seems like he's being set up to have technically had the chance to wield the power of every stone up till now.
Yandu in this scenario is basically shown to know that can't let the stone fall into unreliable hands. With knowledge that Thanos is after the stone and what he could do with it if he ever did decide to sell it the buyer would have had to be trustworthy and capable of trying to protect it. If told of how Thanos getting all of them means he could achieve his goal instantly from anywhere in the universe. Well that makes it all the more important that it's as difficult as possible for Thanos to get it.
