Wow. Having followed most of your qriting, and influence on ithers, I skipped this story.
As I recover fro. surgery I read this one and was blown away. one of the best looking back stories ever.

I like stories that point out the Big differences between Voldemort and Grindelwald ..
one was only out for Power for himself (with a large dash of desire for immortality) and the other was an idealist willing to sacrifice others for his ideals ...
both not good but one .. more evil than the other

How the heck was GRINDELWALD supposed to HELP? You can't just put that genie back in the bottle when you're done, either, because he's going to have plans of his own.
Good grief I want to know who all are to blame for killing off all of Harry's friends and family in the future. They deserve to all die horrible, painful deaths! Grrrrrr
What is saddest is that now Harry is never even going to be born, though. When they get to the point in time that he was conceived, will he cease to exist inside James' mind and magic? Or because they've blended, will he remain? How was James the dominant personality when Harry had lived longer and was more powerful?
Lily is going to be ticked off beyond belief if she learns James is keeping HER son a secret from her. Logic need not apply. LOL

Man, the premise of this story is such a great idea! It's so great that I really want to do something with Grinderwald now too. Especially since I have my own reasons to disdain the Statute of Secrecy, especially the unintended (or are they?) consequences of mass mind control and wiping and the effects this would have on the ability of the rest of society to function without degenerating into a psychopath fest (it can't).

First off. Wow. This ticks off every thing I enjoy about the Harry Potter Fanfiction community. It's well written, the dialogue flows naturally, the backstory isn't dumped on the reader all at once, there's a gripping intensity to the story, and of course I'm a fan of your previous work. It's a credit to your abilities to weave a tale, that I was walking around my house just expressing my hype at how the story was unfolding. Grindelwald. Damn, I'm so hyped about it.
It's tight and focused and gets straight to the point and I love it. Your portrayal of characters feels real and that's always my biggest critique with other authors. You've really locked in on the story you were trying to tell and I'm here for it.
As for updates, I'll happily wait. I've updated my story once a year since 2015 and no amount weekly messages begging me to update ever really made things go faster lol. Good luck with your studies, when my wife was finishing her PhD I felt like I barely saw her so definitely prioritize that over FF lol. Keep up the amazing work, looking forward to whatever you put out next. Cheers
