Oh, things are getting super interesting. I have been so busy that I just got around to catching up with the story and I'm not disappointed.
I'm curious to know how Snape will evade Alastor Moody but it would also be interesting if they did come face to face soon.
And thank you for not turning Snape into a miraculously amazing guardian. There are too many stories that turn him into a child expert ho knows how to deal with kids and what to feed then, etc.
The fact that he forgot to feed the kid was hilarious and accurate. He is so used to being alone and only concentrating on his work that he simply forgot to take care of the other human being he is responsible for now.
I wonder what Lily is thinking of this mess.
Also, wht exactly was McGonagall's slap for? Because Dumbledore had left Juniper with such horrid muggles or because he trusted a Death Eater, or both? I guess it must have been a mix of both

Never thought it could happen, but i actually hate Dobby in this ! Nobody asks him anything and if he was about to spy he should have done it properly to now what was going on !

With all this setup, I sincerely hope Albus Dumbledore catches a full dose of Reality RIGHT in the teeth-as in, how much evil he, himself, is personally responsible for. It looks like Severus is actually a better person than Albus; I do believe in the long run, Albus causes more true, long lasting harm to more innocent people.
All "for the Greater Good", of course.

Just as good as your other stories. The world is a large place, and it would be easy to disappear someone with a changed name. That's something I've always wondered about Canon. There is such a big deal made about keeping Harry safe when in reality it would be very easy. Of course, then Voldemort would be free to conquer Britain, and Dumbledore can't have that now can he.

POOR BABY! I love how Snape becomes aware of his behavior and how traumatized the baby is. I can see her eventually trusting him and even calling him DAD on accident. Snape would grumble but then feel so lucky and let her call him Dad. That would be a wonderous scene.
And OMG the A/N comments are hilarious. I definitely can see those little conversations happening.

I've been following Certain Dark Things for years, so finding you're writing a fic focusing on a very tired Snape dealing with a child is just amazing. Funny things is I realize it was you because of the A/N. Anyways, sorry for being pedantic but the euro didn't exist in 1987. Snape would have to use francs if he's going to buy something. In fact, both Juniper and Snape can cross the Iron Curtain at this time into a wondrous land free of capitalism, or witness the Berlin wall falling in a couple of years. Again, sorry for being pedantic. I'm looking forward for more.
