Daphne’s weird obsession over Harry despite him being a mediocre nobody up to this point (in everyone else’s POV) and weird competency were suspicious. But the last line about destiny make her sound like she knows how canon Harry should be. But that could be me just treading way too many SI and time travel fics.

I feel like the light side needs a reality check and hopefully this is it. Also, how are people still in denial about Voldemort, it's bordering on stupidity and why the hell does Rufus feel the need to growl Harry's name? My man just saved your life after you had him locked up.
Re Neville, I'm not sure if Voldemort is addling his mind, but god damn do you wanna just bow down and kiss the hem of Elijahs feet? He literally believes anything he says without checking.
Re the overall story, I said this a few chapters back, but I don't see anything other than a Voldemort win in the future. Everyone on the other faction is incredibly divided and those that do fight are severely handicapping themselves in a fight. The DEs are out here casting hell fires and then you've got the aurors still using stunners. Anyway, thank you for the chapter and I can't wait for the next.

Ok. I'm gonna take this point to write a review. First of all, it's been an amazing fic so far. Great job. I really look forward to whatever you have planned. But-and of course, there is a but- it's taking too long for much time to pass, I feel. Like it's 43rd chapter, which is probably around 200k words and it's only been 3 and a half months so far! Now I'm not saying that the narration is bad or even wrongly paced. But seeing as at this point in time, only 92 chapters have been published and with your own admission, the story is going to go into even 7th year and possibly beyond, I just wonder how long it's going to take for the story to actually finish, especially because it's been going on for over 2 years now. I definitely don't wish for you to compromise on the quality of the story. It's really really good right now. But I find my interest in a story waning if I'm unable to read it quickly enough and I don't wish for that to be the case here since I love this one. I have a suggestion. You can use narration tools to be able to write more in the same amount of time you would normally dedicate to writing. Just a thought.

Don’t waste your time reading this story. This story is absolutely awful and I hate this author for wasting my time on such a garbage story.

I haven't reviewed or commented on a fic in years at this point, but this one warrants at least a cursory note of praise. The author has a clear sightedness in plotting and grasp on tension and worldbuilding that few writers of Harry Potter fanfiction ever pull off. Barring a few inconsistencies, a little much beating the dead horse of virtue ethics vs pragmatism in wartime, and some pedantic peeves about oversights that stick out to a native Brit - for example, "the Big Ben", referring to built-up areas in the country as "South Hampshire" and "West Yorkshire" when discussing specific events happening at specific locales in those general areas - there really isn't much to dislike in this story. The whole Montague coverup was a bit contrived though - very nearly lost me there
The innovations, however, are what truly set this fic apart. The story has done what the best transformative fiction does and escaped the author's shadow while still respecting the rules of the world that matter - or at the very least, bending them in interesting ways. I'm a fan of the Olympian Pantheon larp and having a much more organic, factional Death Eater body with entities like the Knights opportunistically riding the coattails of Voldemort - whose characterisation is to be commended for being different from canon but not in the typical Flanderised, ultra-genius or power-crazed Saturday morning cartoon villainy character many lesser authors apply to him. He's a really difficult character, and even Rowling rapidly lost sight of what made him intimidating and intriguing, so for a fanfiction author to not have his scenes make me groan is something I feel is worthy of serious praise. All of this is in service of the story, rather than an incidental feature of it - the stakes are as high as they can be while still playing by the setting's rules.
Harry is an almost unbearable ball of angst, but when the mask of cocky misanthropy starts to slip and you see the character for what he is, only for him to be beaten down deeper and deeper, you can't help but want to see him find redemption. He's how the BAMF 4th-year personality transplant Harrys from power fantasy stories would probably end up if they were subjected to almost nonstop trauma and betrayal, and you feel his talent and growth is both earned, and genuine. Many characters are OOC, but they're either more interesting than the one dimensional afterthoughts Rowling cobbled together when circumstances required them (Umbridge is actually reasonable!), or their character makes sense due to events and changes to the setting, so plaudits are due. Junior's dynamic with Harry in particular is fascinating, as is Mrs Wesley's unwavering faith in the boy's capacity to change.
In short, I have a great deal of respect for the author for their spirited, inventive and thought-provoking writing, and if you're reading this, thank you for writing such a gripping work. Please do not let my criticisms imply I think little of this work, or of you as a writer - as despite some irritations it's probably still a 10/10 for me. I have been despairing of the level of quality of writing in the fandom for a while now, and this story has been a shot in the arm. I'll be reading along until the end..

the talk between Harry and Junior was so great. You really manage to do justice to your personification of Junior and explain why he got so caught up with Harry. really hope we will get more interactions between these two

really i pictured harry meeting grindelwald at grim place and him being told about the elder wand when he asked if he knows how to get his magic back
