YA know, it'd be rather funny if Harry fired a Stunner into Quirrell as he stepped over him on his way to the Gryffindor common room. A nice really overpowered one at that. Anyhoo, I rather like this. I completely agree with Harry about his so-called relatives. I'll never understand how Good Ole Fumblemort could consider them any kind of family to Harry! It's extremely obvious that he's never had a face to face with either Vernon or Petunia Dursley in his life! If he had, he'd never even think to call them any kind of relation to the Potters. In most stories where this old fraud places Blood Wards around the Dursley home the author claims they're based on blood and as Petunia shares some with Harry they're also supposed to be powered by love. The more love in the family towards each other the stronger those wards would be. However, seeing as neither Petunia nor her fat abusive husband have any love for Harry those wards should be nonexistent. He's also supposed to have monitoring charms on those wards yet never notices they're either extremely weak or nonexistent. In either case I can't those wards actually taking hold. Which means either he's senile and didn't notice or noticed and just lied about them. In the ladder case it would've been smarter to place baby Harry with someone from his fathers' side of the family. Like the Tonks family. But unfortunately, that would result in a happy well-adjusted Harry Potter which did not and does not fit in with Good Ole Fumblemorts' plans.

This story was beautiful.
Such a touching way for Harry to remember his parents and the sacrifice they did for Harry to live.
For most people, a special day could be to celebrate, but to some it's a time to mourn.

You should really keep a notepad to write down your ideas before you lose them. And Quite frankly the Wizarding World needs a scolding and reality check when it comes to the priorities and they need to learn not to assume anything/jack shit anyone and they are to stop all the celebrities bullshit worship and hero worship and they are to stop celebrating that effing pagan holiday which is exactly what Halloween is. And use that day instead as a day of remembering of those who list their lives such as The Potter's. And The Stupid Purebloods need to learn that they are not any better than anyone else if anything they are self u
entitled pricks full of them selves and many have caused nothing but trouble and and many are just morally bankrupt with no true understanding of right from wrong and good from evil and the teachers are largely to blame along with their parents. And for Ron he doesn't have any manner and his parents are largely to blame for that since 5hey didn't crack down on him an SD quite frankly his class mated need to crack down on him along with the staff and his older brothers even if it means humiliating hi in front of the whole school by spanking him since the teachers can't but they can. I know I have had to spank my younger brother more than once even though we are adults I still have to disaplen and punish him even now which at times means spanking him to show ai mean business and my family doesn't believe that you are to old to be spanked I have seen my own father spanked zi have seen one of my uncles spanked. The uncle was my mom's little brother and my dad was spanked by his parents my grandparents. And my uncles my dad's older brothers held him in place while my grandma and grandpa went after his bare ass with spanking paddles each having a cheek each.

Bravo. I liked the stories as stories, but hated so much about the series. This is one of them that got me the most as I was reading it, that Harry was expected to celebrate the night his parents died saving him…not their world, him. And yet no one remembered it or allowed him to even know, thanks to Dumbledore telling them all that he was loved by his family. Of course they’re going to expect him to come to school knowing everything about his parents…even if they’re Muggles who barely knew them in their last years.

Thanks for the memorial. While you didn't list other names, I think you should have a newspaper article in the next detailing what happened during the memorial and list the names of those lost in the first war.
I'd also like Harry to turn his ire on the troll. Turn his sadness into anger and turn the troll into ground meat.
