The prologue was magical. It reminded me of the starting scene of GC. The fact that it began on October 6th makes it even better. Thank you for taking your time to write this fanfiction

Long but amazing altered story.
It was fun to revisit the series in the form of text

I have finished this epilogue and it was an enjoyable read. I'm happy that Shu and Inori got a happier ending and a better deal personality-wise and having a daughter, Hanae. With Shu having a better outlook on his experiences to get the ending he deserves through all the heartache he's endured is something.
Heath and especially Ayase really deserve applause. they had a rocky start and winding up together is kismet as I see it. Ayase impressed me with having that Buffy Summers personality with a little Faith I feel.
I'd say the characters were fleshed out and the P5 characters worked in just being guest to give them (Shu and his crew) the boost needed for dealing with enemies, it was good to see them.

wow the amount of sockpuppeting going on in this review section is nuts. we get it, kanius or ford or whoever it is. you're desperate for this story to be seen as good and for people to validate your writing. but to go this far to even sockpuppet reviews really shows how low you've sunk.
I mean, come on, can you be anymore obvious?
"I will admit that the story becomes messy once Shu gets to his hideout."
-PopCulture OverD chapter 2 review. Also note the fact that all 20 reviews by this sockpuppet were posted at the exact same time and date within the minute as if it was prepared in advance, both on AO3 and this site.
This story just isn't good. There's a reason why despite messaging everyone you know to read and review and promoting it as much as you can, the traction in terms of favourites and follows remain low. It's because the quality is sub-par.
Just stop embarassing yourself and let your work stand on it's own two feet on its own merits. There's nothing more cringe than seeing a writer deaperately insist that their writing is good to the point of creating reviews for their own work.

And here we have the finale. The characters are all living their best lives and some even have children now. The evolution of genetic science has also led to some interesting hybrid animals becoming commonplace. This was a pretty chill chapter so there isn't much to say. It was a long ride and I have to say this ending was certainly better done than the anime. This fanfic smoothed over a lot of the flaws of the original by having the characters be a lot more engaging and interesting. Good job.

The crew celebrates the new year's in the coolest city in the world, NYC! I'm being completely biased here but it's heartwarming to see the gang chill out in the big apple. Definitely, the best place to do anything. I'm glad that Shu's blindness isn't stopping him from having fun with his friends. Ayase regaining her legs and Inori being revived on top of Shu regaining his vision is what really sold the chapter for me. I love happy endings and these guys deserve it after everything they've been through. They saved the world so they deserve nothing but the best.
Arisa becoming a hooker and getting killed by Kazama was delightful karma. I loved her but he deserved it after all the chaos she caused. I personally would've liked to know more about her life before her death but it's not a big deal. Solid final chapter.

It was already clear before but Mana sure does have a lot of audacity. She talks trash about Inori and acts as if she's entitled to have Shu. Even worse, she causes a massive global scale Apocalypse while doing a ballerina dance. She's completely unrepentant but even then, I still enjoy her. I like cold-hearted female villains who have fun being evil. She doesn't make excuses for herself and does whatever it takes to get what she wants. As usual, the fight scenes were well written. Ayase did a great job holding her own against Mana and Shu certainly knows how to handle himself with shears. Arisa having a mental breakdown over losing was another amusing sight because it's such a contrast to her usual snobby attitude. Guess she finally got her karma.
It's pleasant that Mana has finally been defeated and Inori came back briefly. She may no longer be physically around but she still lives within Shu.

Funeral parlor charges head in their assault on the GHQ and even more epic battles ensue. Shu and others have a cool fighting featuring a surprise return from not only fafnir rex but previously dead villains from persona. Panther confronting Kamoshida had a lot of dramatic weight and it was awesome that she got revenge on that perverted bastard. Seeing Inori completely lose herself to Mana was practically as sad as Hare's death. It's essentially the same as dying but there's still potential that she can come back from within.

It was so heartwarming seeing Akiko and Heath reuniting with their parents and Hifumi trying to become a better person. She also seems to have reconciled with Makoto which was definitely needed. I loved the introduction of Joaquin who appears to be an oc. I find Ainu culture to be fascinating so having that representation was a huge positive. Hope he achieves his dream of bringing wolves back from extinction. The phantom thieves made a return including Sophie in a new android body. I loved her in strikers so it's nice that she has a physical form now. Hifumi's reaction to Akiko having sex was hilarious and understandable from a parent's point of view. It seems that all of these characters are having sex, including heath and Ayase who finally cement their love for each other.

I'll be honest; this chapter was hard to follow due to how many things were going on. Gai seems to fight Akechi from Persona 5 while Hifumi has a symbolic dream that expresses her self-doubt and involves a group called the cognitive phantom thieves. A lot of chaotic stuff happened here that probably would've made sense if I was more of a persona 5 fan. I did like the part where Heath and Akiko fused with their voids, however. It was just so stylish.

This might be the most action-heavy chapter yet. Arisa proudly reveals herself as a villain and drops a bombshell on Inori's brutality. She doesn't seem to believe any of it even though Inori is clearly racked with guilt. The civil war between the students was epic. Everyone got to show off their abilities and fight to dear or near death in some cases. Hoshi's Valkyrie was beautiful and fit his elegant appearance. I wish he and his boyfriend Kenji got more page time. They seemed so interesting but at least they got to die together beautifully. I'm loving Arisa's haughtiness. She has all the makings of a lovable villain.

This chapter highlights how far the characters have come since the beginning. It was great seeing Shu turn into a responsible leader who has the best interest of everyone in mind and seeing all the girls bond together in a public bath because it's anime. It seems that Ayase is opening up to Heath more. It's cute to see her warming up to him considering how tough she always acts. I'm most excited to see Arisa finally take on the role of an antagonist because she has that high school mean girl energy I can't get enough of. She's so stuck up but I can't hate her. If one thing could be changed, I wished Hare could've survived in this fanfic. Her death is still hard to take in.

Ayase sure has it rough. I was really feeling for her when Hare failed to heal her legs even though it was expected. It's just sad to see her glimmer of hope vanish like that. It's a good thing she had Heath there to cheer her up. She needs the emotional support. I loved remembering the scene where Shu and Ayase stood back to back after saving the day cause it was one of the few well-written heartwarming moments in the anime. It was just so epic.
The scene where the civilians are being murdered was genuinely disturbing. It's probably the most brutal thing in the entire story. There was also the scene where Inori coldly kills the boys who tried to corner her. So ruthless. So Inori. Just goes to show how dark the story had gotten. Arisa seems to be taking the role of a villain and I'm all for it. She's the type of character that's easy to love to hate. I will admit that I'm disappointed that the void ranking system was removed. I thought it was interesting from a sociological perspective to see how the students react to having their worth be put in numbers.

The only thing I have to say is that I loved the scene where Shu indirectly confessed his love for Inori in front of everyone. Even though I prefer Shu with Hare, it's nice seeing how much he cared for Inori. This chapter was mostly a summary but I didn't mind because it was easy to get through.

This chapter was a roller coaster of emotion. The fight between Hifumi and Makoto was rife with drama and anguish. It was hard seeing them break down like that. The lost Christmas event really did a number on them. Then near the end of the chapter, the story takes a break so Skylar could show off photos from the past. There was a treasure trove of pop-culture references that went over my head. Gotta love the passion. Also, Akiko catching her parents in the act was hilarious.
