Would love to read more if it comes up.
Loved the ending with Fudge's reaction. Also, Dumbledore was perfect.

Not bad. I'd like to know how it continues.
If you make that Umbridge never comes to Hogwarts, here's an idea that you could use to set up a little bit of conflict: as we have seen, Merula seems fixed in not following the typical approach regards the teaching style in Hogwarts, so maybe you could make her harsh and demanding, with lots of mock duels and practical classes that push all her students to the limit. This will inevitably intimidate most of the students, some of which might even start to resent her for such a rude treatment.
After Harry finds out through the twins how Merula used to be while she was a student, and her connections to Voldemort through her parents, he might have suspicions that she might actually be a Death Eater, sent by Voldemort to infiltrate Hogwarts and spy on them.
Thus, the Golden TrĂo might began to watch her over and try to find her hidden motives, as well as preparing their allies in case Merula tries to break more Death Eaters on (thus, creating something akin to Dumbledore's Army, though not quite the same)

Interesting. I must say I'm interested to see how this pans out. I hope you decide to keep going with this story. Sounds like fun.

I would like to see this turned into a actual story. It has all the right parts to be able to continue it with at least a few more chapters.

I like Merula Snyde's style, especially her disdain for the pacifist appeasement ways of Dumbles.
"rethinking" should be one word.
According to the mental pic I got of the turquoise quill it was a very Dumbles touch.
Take that, CorneliuFudge!

I am definitely interested in reading more of this, so far nobody has to my knowledge finished one of these stories before. Besides that Snyde seems like an interesting character and I would enjoy seeing more of her.

I would love for this to be a full-length story.
