Poor Sakura always getting kidnapped and tortured! Good on her for trying to leave a trail. Hope she doesn't let the waterboarding break her. Not sure if she'll be able to figure a way out of those cuffs with her chakra control, but she had a good idea about aersol droplets. I hope when Kakashi sjows up he slaughters them. Finally kills Sakura's "family" with an 'oopsie-daisy my hand slipped' or something.

Pendulum by machinae supremacy fits perfectly with this. Definitely should give it a listen if you haven’t!
I literally binge read this all in 2 days… I wasn’t even able to sleep until I hit chapter 32!
Something I’m curious about, I’m unsure what kind of skill path you’ve set out Sakura to have. Obviously now she’s not going to be a medic nin, nor inherit tsunades strength.
There seems to be a lot of paths open - but none of them have been developed yet. Like her control being from uzu would seem to lend towards Fuinjutsu or chakra constructs.
Her touching nature chakra is another, seeing as she’s already able to feel and pull it in. Control being the important part of balancing them. While she wouldn’t be able to throw around Justus anymore than usual, it’d let her perform highly enhanced singular Justus.
Her inner control still lends to increased strength enhancement skills too

I just knew your story had to get darker at some point - again! Poor Sakura, at least she has Kakashi now who’s never going to rest before Sakura’s back with him! Great writing in portraying Sakura and aunt Kasumi‘s relationship. It hurts me to see Sakura so desperate for the acknowledgement of her… aunt/mother figure… even if her aunt abused her. It‘s a really complicated relationship they have. Her aunt has been with her since forever and their relationship hasn‘t always been bad. I guess no matter what her aunt is going to put her through, even if she knows it’s wrong, she will always forgive her… This is so toxic. Haa… I really hope Kakashi‘s going to find her soon. Even if Sakura will forgive them, Kakashi definitely won’t. Sakura won‘t be able to „save/help“ the Harunos anymore. They‘ve gone way too far, twice! now already.

Well… I wanted to leave a review after every 10 chapters… But as you can see… I binged this story… Hahaha. I was really hoping that Team 7 would find their way back to each other but of course that’s too much to ask. They have different goals and all of them have a strong will, so of course they’d be butting heads all the time… And with Sasuke being so aggressive and violent, it was just a matter of time before they’d really have injured/fatally wounded someone…
I am just SO glad that Kakashi and Sakura were able to clear their misunderstanding. It really wasn’t easy for Kakashi to open up as much as he did, to voice out his feelings and emotions and to lay out his vulnerability out in the open, but this just shows how much he is willing to let himself be hurt, how much he trusts Sakura, how much he regrets having left her to fend for herself, and how much he grew and learned from his past bond and trust they have now is wonderfully heart-warming. It was high time for Sakura to finally experience a safe, warm and healthy relationship with another adult, after having lost her mother, a place to call home. Sakura’s near death experience is mind-blowing. She’s so resilient and of course it’d be natural for her (and for Kakashi) to have nightmares over this experience. They’ve got to digest and process everything first before they can grow from it. Kakashi seeing a new pack in her and Gin is just so- ARGH! I’m just so happy for him! Hahaha, now he just got to start seeing her as the strong kid she is instead of as the weak baby he thinks she is.
Also, I’m starting to love the interactions Sakura has with Akihito. In the beginning it was a bit annoying to have an OC suddenly appear and antagonize her so much (even though she has a lot on her plate already, not that he knows of that) but somehow their interaction just turned into something cute and fun, haha. Both being embarrassed and tip-toeing around each other is just so much fun to read! I’m looking forward to seeing them interact more often!
Thanks for these wonderful chapters so far! I’m so happy that I really found this story again after agonizing over whether or not I should search through 2.8k stories, haha. Definitely worth the search (and fortunately didn’t take me long to find it!)

Mmmm~ I see so the intermission arc went on longer than I thought but interestingly enough, it sounded somewhat familiar to me, so I actually did finish the intermission arc the first time I read this story. Stupid of me that I did not continue it, the third stage of the Chunin exams were great! Akihito is such a fun character. Sakura just downright hates him and he has a cute little crush on her! Hahaha! Makes me wonder when she’ll finally realize that.
Also the intermission arc was actually better than how I remembered it to be! Great job with the whole boar-hunt-turned-to-rescue-kids-arc! Super original and very interesting too. I absolutely love how you portray Sakura in your story. She’s not OP, far from it, she literally only knows the Academy three jutsus! But she manages to outwit her opponents through quick thinking, adaptiveness, and sheer willpower rivaling that of Naruto, which is just so inspiring! It’s also very interesting that she only sees her shortcomings and weaknesses but never her strong points. It breaks my heart to see her bound by her trauma, but it was only natural for it to affect her thinking and actions. She’s quick to lose faith in adults and I really hope Kakashi manages to win back her trust.
All in all, Sakura and Team 7 really needed this timeout. I’m really excited to see what you’ve planned for us in the next few chapters!
