I read one of the other reviewers comment about Sakura basically saying Fuck Konoha and leaving to live her own life, and I am right there with them. This story is well written and is really good, but I cannot help but get more and more frustrated with how everything is turning out for Sakura. Kakashi is the worst in this story! I have zero sympathy for him and his blatant disregard for Sakura. And I know that Sakura was conditioned to not stick up for herself but her just smiling and taking it up the ass is killing me.

This chapter was sad, but I like that Sakura is finally seeing Sasuke for who he is; prideful jerk! But the move Sakura did to prevent the boys from hitting each other was gold! Hopefully the case with Ko will kickstart Sakura's want to ask Tsunade for training to be a med non to prevent another Ko from happening ever again! Go Sakura!

It's just admirable all your work! You keep Sakura's personality intact while making her even more human than she already is. I like the way you gently introduce the fact that she is going to turn to medical ninjutsu. Besides, I wonder if she hasn't already developed this ability unconsciously... Because on several occasions she seemed to declare that she was circulating and smelling sweet chakra and that it was good and that it made her feel she already done it? You are doing an amazing job! I've always been disappointed when you're the main (female) character, she's such a weak background and just a low-end copy-and-paste evolution of Tsunade. She would have excelled perfectly in genjustu and I pretend to think that she would have excelled in fuinjustu which is a complex art! Personally I don't see her very ninjutsu with doton suiton or other techniques, I think it doesn't suit her too much, however, a Justu similar to chakra scapels in aqueous form seems to suit her. And this technique of the threads of chakra is just fantastic I would never have imagined it and at the same time it is something that she could have learned in the manga. So thank you for doing this great work!

This fic is so interesting.. you have a great grasp of the characters, and the characters you added in are well-fleshed out too and fit the universe. I really enjoy the expansion of Sakura's backstory (having read all the manga myself, I can't remember them really even talking about her family? Major gap for a main character when you think about it). The training to be a lady and a housewife explain a lot of her more restrained/feminine behaviors from the series. I cried on the chapters she was held captive, and when Kakashi found out too. I wish they'd build more of a relationship, both of them are so hesitant and in their own heads, they assume how the other feels about them without actually communicating. All in all he is totally failing her as a sensei, even if he feels regretful it's sad. You're very good at writing realistic situations, and exposing the other side of characters. Like Naruto's optimism, it's not always received as something that inspires the other characters but sometimes they view him as childish or unrealistic for. And Sasuke's arrogance and lack of teamwork, it's such a glaring flaw of his but the manga doesn't show him getting punished for it much or acknowledging what a serious liability it is. As someone who really loves this series for, oh, god, 17 years now? this is such a good counternarrative for it. Thanks for sharing your work, I look forward to reading what happens next.

I like the fact that Sakura lets herself "taking" Naruto's excitation.

Ah. Kakashi didn't appreciate when they talked about Minato.

Here we go for a bit more of angst for Kakashi.

That everyone but Sakura had realised that you had to cheat during the exams (Naruto doesn't count) doesn't actually speak well for her at all. It doesn't matter if she didn't need to cheat to pass, it's the fact she didn't realise it at all. It's one thing to delibrately ignore the way of cheating because one is so good to not need it, it's quite another to not realise the purpose of the test. They're shinobi, not civilans. To not be able to see the underneath, does not speak well of her as shinobi-material at all. Quite the opposite actually.
