Technically, "Hojo's dead" combined with his father's assassination making him the new president, and the ability to spin the confrontation on roof's details in his favor (assuming Scarlet wasn't tapping the cameras, since nobody else was physically present to see what happened) to keep Scarlet and Heidegger in line is good news.
Can't wait for the next chapter.

I can only hope that Genesis is mistaken about the attraction of Sephiroth to Cloud and it has more to do, with the experiment Hojo has done to Cloud in the past. Otherwise the chapter was quite good.

Honestly, with how Sephiroth was before Jenova started influencing the three of them, I'd say he intentionally kept Hojo's focus to minimize the chance someone else would be cursed with Hojo's interest and attention.

Cloud and Sephiroth probably should've at least come up with some way for Cloud to determine if he was talking to Sephiroth or the One Winged Angel (or even to have someone else do it since Cloud has already demonstrated that OWA has influence over him.

Ugh please don't tell me this is a yaoi Sephiroth/Cloud fanfic because after their interactions in this chapter it is looking kind of sus. Genesis seems to be infringing on Cloud's harem, got eyes for Tifa and Jessie is now flirting with him instead of Cloud. What next Aerith hooking up with Angeal or Genesis after nursing him back to health. The concept of this fic is awesome and I don't mind Tifa and Genesis hooking up but the indication of a Cloud and Sephiroth hook up ruins it for me.

Ahh, I can’t believe I almost missed this fic! Gen/Tifa is one of my favorite pairings and there’s unfortunately so little of them. Genesis’ crush on Tifa is *so* freaking cute, my heart melts every time he gets flustered or tries to get closer to her!
On a more serious note, I’m super intrigued on how things will play out with our favorite SOLDIER trio alive and in the present. It’s nice to see the more human and emotional side to them before they go insane or die. Especially with future Seph and past Seph now both existing in the present. Even with such a large cast of characters, and more to come, I think you write them all very well and believably in-character. I’m curious how you’ll continue/if you continue, on with the story past Midgar since FF7R stopped there. This fic follows it to a T with some minor changes to incorporate the trio, so I’d like to see what more creative scenarios you’ll make in the future. I love this story so far and can’t wait for the next update!
