I'm looking forward to how the storyline will change with Edelgard now working as a triple agent against TWSITD, and where it'll start having even larger deviations besides Monica being saved. I wonder if the entire war might be postponed to happen later, or if it'll even occur at all?
I'm also excited to see whether Dimitri will also become a member of the Thieves so that all three Lords are members, or whether he'll be the sole Lord left out? As well as what other students end up joining too.
Great chapter and story so far, can't wait for the next update.

I was really happy to see this incredible story updated once again! First Edelgard becomes an official Phantom and even comes clean to her teammates about everything including her persona of the Flame Emperor and Those who Slither in the Dark. Ren had a good idea for Edelgard to keep up the Flame Emperor mantle in order to gather useful intel. Next, Monica being the faith arcana kind of worries me as that was Sumire's arcana when she was struggling with her identity and living her life as Kasumi. I wonder if Monica is the real Monica or if she also has another identity as well. Then again, Ren does say in the chapter that the bond feels full and even compares it to Sumire's which was not at least not right away. I am very curious to see what you decide to do with Monica going forward and of course I am most looking forward to the next update.

Oh yeah... this story takes place at a point where the Yoshizawa twist hasn't occurred yet.
Also is that a little bit of Sothis playing... matchmaker? I don't know if that can be really considered as such. Could just be Byleth wanting to comfort Ren and Sothis having to coach her through it because she has no idea what she's doing otherwise.

Being away from your friends can make you homesick. I feel for Ren whenever he looks at the painting of those he had bonded with.
It was nice of Byleth being there to comfort him, though it looked pretty intimate when she wiped his tears with her hand.

Ha, Byleth getting coached on how to be social and seduce Ren by Sothis. Be careful Byleth, Ren has that Thief rizz, haha. Also, enjoyed the scene at the beginning with the others. Honestly, I feel like Claude sees Ren as his hero at this point. Outside the Box thinking, setting up a discrete information network, sneaky enough to not be found by him, etc. Also, that little show of trust with Edelgard was sweet. And geez, guess Ren is finding out the hard way that Sumire may have had more baggage given he never got around to the Maruki plot, but we also get close to Monica now as well! So, good and the bad, haha. Looking forward to more!
