You may think this was a norm but to me, it was not. Wonderful for the times (masks, tests. etc.), unfortunately, but loved the faintest recognition of these two to get together to do something for a dying mother. Edward needs to do some redeeming, and Bella for a pseudo mother as well as how perfect they actually knew each other in younger years. Can't wait to read more. thanx ;o)

I love these kind of stories! I’m extra excited for this one giving the unique setting that gives a fresh take on what may be a “cliche” plot, but there’s a reason we watch all those Hallmark movies right? Haha! Will anxiously await updates on this one. Until the next, happy writing!:)

And yes, it's a cheesy trope, being fake-engaged, but we still love it. :)
It's so sad Esme has cancer, and very little time left.
So, Edward has had a hard time with his PhD. But why wouldn't he visit his parents because of that, especially knowing about his mother? That puzzles me.
How long has it been since they saw each other last? Around ten years? More?

Absolutely love your writing and am excited to see how this goes! Appreciate how you made sure the backstory had nothing illegal or taboo going on, and in general love how you handle respect between your partner characters (it's nice to see happy pairs/even power dynamics)
