Great prologue, though I wish James put up more of a fight. As a transfiguration specialist, I think he, more than others, would be prone to conjure barriers for a killing curse. Looking forward to the direction you go with this. I really liked the interaction with Bellatrix. I am going to be interested in seeing what name you gave her to come up with lady Voldemort. If she did indeed anagram her name.

After a long time of waiting, it's a joy to have seen the first chapter for this story that I discovered so many months ago on your profile, back when it was still a project, especially since Depature from the Diary seems to have come to a standstill.
For that reason, time will drag on especially long during the month(s) that it will take for the next chapter to be published, but I can't and won't criticize this, as I've had my own first-hand experience of how realistic continuous updating really is.
Anyway, the first chapter has already raised many hopes, although at first glance, there wasn't much to offer.
Your attempt to humanize Voldemort through Bellatrix worked quite well in my eyes in the few lines that were provided, the chemistry between them, if one may speak of such at all, is more than just intriguing, especially whether there is more to it than just loyalty.
The title, as well as the talk about this unknown prophecy/warning in general, can't be ignored either, though I wonder why the possibility of a self-fulfilling prophecy isn't brought up. It was also said that (instead of Snape) Bellatrix had overheard the prophecy. In that context, Voldemort's hesitation to kill Lilly can't originate from Snape. I'm curious to see how this develops.
Also, "him" meaning Harry is emphasized, but never in the context of Voldemort really wanting to kill him, just find him. Likewise, using "ventures", is relatively euphemistic, if at all, as well as trying to cover Harry's importance.
Since this is in the context of Grindelwald, a connection might again lead to either his ideology, the war, or the Hollows here. It is further implied that Grindelwald warned Riddle not on the battlefield, as in some other plots, but already in his prison, that is, in Nurmengard, if I didn't miss anything.
By all accounts, this is only my second review ever, as I personally find such small messages as: "Good chapter" or "Expect more", completely irrelevant and useless.
To conclude concretely, I liked your foreshadowing, as well as the various opportunities that seem to be opening up, and I wrote this review merely as some sort of motivation, so it won't be months until the next update, and because just under 99% of readers are always too lazy to take even a second to give something back, no matter how small.
