Are you copy pasting from the original LN? In canon Momonga did see the Gazef fight with the sunlight scripture where Nigun said he would slaughter the village before tagging in. So him going;
"I observed your battle, so I'm absolutely confident in my victory" and "how dare you threaten something I put under protection" made sense. He saw the fight and saw the threat.
That didn't happen in this fic though, so it makes 0 sense for him to say those 2 things.

Well yes, those things exist in canon but they're also background horror. If you choose to focus on those you don't get to pretend you're being canon authentic or source friendly - you'd have gone much further than the original author by graphically depicting those.

Minor whinging nitpick, but Momonga never went through college. 2100 was a dystopia where most didn't get education past elementary - including him. Mind this doesn't really change much, his former GF could simply have changed jobs or something to that affect.
