The short story was well written. It is just like Stephanie to go after Dobbs alone, since the rent is due. Stephanie's two love interests reacted as their personalities dictated. They both love her and she loves them. Thank goodness for Ranger keeping tabs on Stephanie. You have the beginning of a good story. There's probably more to tell. Thanks for posting.

Huh. Okay, I suppose this pairs well with the ambiguity of the books, lately: another episode of calamity that ultimately changes...nothing.
The scene of violence was quick and shocking, though. I would not have rated this K.
