Great chapter, I’m really looking forward to your take on the Chuunin Exam Arc!
Overrated Character: Asuma, like I just don’t see what’s with all the hype (Honestly I have seen some Fanfics that flesh out his back story and turn him into a reasonably good character, but canon Asuma isn’t much to write home about)
Underrated Character: Kankuro, I honestly think that The Puppeteer Corps in general is underrated and that so much potential was lost in canon by their portrayal in the anime.
Arc I could’ve done without: The War Arc for me as well, I just had a hard time understanding the fact that ALL of the Shinobi Nations combined has so much trouble against so (relatively) few opponents.
Favorite Arc: Clash in the Land of Snow, I especially enjoy reading new takes on that particular arc because it just has so much potential.
Most Essential Arc: Chuunin Exam Arc, it really sets the stage for the rest of the series, although I have admit that I much prefer the fanfic takes on this arc (especially fanfics in which {at least} one of the MC’s make Chuunin) rather than canon.
Favorite Fanfic Trope: Gamer Fics (which is nearly impossible to find good ones, that haven’t been abandoned. Which is one of the reasons why I’m so lit for this fic), and Time Travel Fics.

Shishi uchiha is criminally overlooked. And minato is overrated imo. The douche couldn’t have used a seal where he didn’t die? No one had to die for any of the other sealings, and kushina’s held the whole damn kyuubi, not half. Also instead of planting the hiraishin on obito he could have just slapped a chakra suppression seal on him, or hiraishin to him then chakra suppression instead of rasengan. I get it was a high stress on the fly plan. But for the “best” shinobi since the clan wars that seems pretty sloppy.

Sakura is Underrated for sure people seriously don't take into account of how fast she surpassed Tsunade and her improvement rate once Sasuke left the village on top of being one of the most "normal" ninjas out of the main cast

You do know that gaara could esily be a loli... not joking till lee broke the sand shell the only person who saw him senes age 4 is him/her self their father and the tailed beast and honestly female jincuriki would have it harder so hidden gender makes senes.
So im going to say the unpopular opinion of medara is over rated i mean shure hes op af and they built up to him but theres a massive disconnect between what medara was hyped as to what we got i mean the war arc relly suffered from the characters that were dead wernt really built up or shown to be anywhere near medara and seeing how kakazu was banished from his village for failing at the very simple task of killing the first hogake we expected roughly around akatski strong maybe high pain or a little stronger well within the parameters set by the war and then he just eviscerated the entire shinobi alliance and the 5 kage with minimal effort and just kept getting stronger he had so much gary sue energy he had to betrayed and turned into a wemon who has serious mental health problems to lose i mean its weak sauce.
Underrated is a interesting debate and i will say shikamaru's daddy dude is playing 5D Chess With Multiverse Time Travel while everyone else is playing tic tac toe if the whole medara thing turned out to be him i would not only be surprised but i would call it the greatest writing achievement ever concived.
A arc that can be scraped i would say pretty much all of shipudin fits that for me no offense but the wave is unieonicly the hight of naruto as a ninja series were everyone is so cerebral and playing mind games and deception and the rest of the series sorta falls flat do to the ever increasing rule of cool.

Everytime "wait, that worked!?" can be said or done by a character I think I get a bit more hopefully for the world, I absolutely love that trope.
Honestly I don't think any character is overrated, but if anyone fit the bill it would probably be Madara. There's plenty of underated characters, I feel like people sleep on Kabuto a lot.
I don't think I would remove any of the anime arcs, except maybe the very last one, assuming this void had the plot adjusted for it. Although Naruto isn't a series I'd pull much from considering how much I think it still needs.
Good chapter, I look forward to seeing how this will ripple. I do think there's a bit of a dip in quality when you have certain cannon events occur. Lots of people have the sand siblings introduced in a similar method they where in the show, but things like that aren't really needed since it was fairly coincidental in the plot to begin with.
Basically if there's bigger things at play as to why the scene rhymes, that's fine. But a coincidence probably shouldn't occur twice.
