for Naruto: The Leveling Shinobi

I would like to see him choose Lightning. From a story perspective, I think that he would want the same nature as his sensei in order to be able to learn more techniques and have good guidance.
From a pure fanboyish side, I would LOVE to see Naruto mixing the Hyuga taijutsu with lightning style. The Gentle Fist but with electric pokes of death (or even Lightning Style: Kaiten) would be amazing to see.

Considering Naruto is learning Fire Jutsu from Sasuke he might look at it from that perspective, however if he gets the idea of how to help his teammates and asks Kakashi how the affinities react to each other I can see him going Wind to compliment Sasuke's fire. Since he and Sasuke are much more competitive and cooperative with each other this go around I can see this being a viable route.

Boruto just took the concept of Jinchuriki and thought what if we sealed Kaguya inside someone that would make them so strong! The threat of the Otsutsuki is neat but I wish the execution was better as none of the original cast except Sasuke or Naruto use any of their abilities. Or after training for all these years they are still considered fodder to even the fodder enemies now.

This is a fantastic story so far!

lost interest when he reefused the tutorial. naruto is already a retard no need to make it worse. this gamer system just doesn't make for a good story, all i need to know about this story is contained in the system prompts, nothing important happens that is not mentioned in the system promps which means i skip everything else.

i would like it if he kept wind but explored more of the wind element and Thier jutsus but in narutos thinking maybe lightning or Fire maaaaybe water considering he saw the water jutsus from zabuza and kakashi from their battle

well, he might choose water because that's the element of strongest jutsu he had seen. i mean, he shocked/awed when seeing kakashi vs zabuza throwing water everywhere.

hinata exist right? how the hell neji dont know her?

Neat.

1. Tough, if you ask me as a writer this naruto will consider the data kakashi is a lighting type and thus to get his attention he needs to be lighting. But personally I want him to consider zabuza and haku as. Potential teachers so water is what I want. I mean the hidden mist jutsu is a direct counter to the pale eyes of Destiny I mean the more chakra pumped in the thicker the mist and the thicker the fog the more chakra is in it would be like trying to fight with light clouding you're vision.

2. My feelings are severely mixed on the issue

I’ve seen wind, fire and lightning a lot. Could you do water or earth? Also amazing chapter/fic just binged it was very good.

Question 1
I'd go with cannon and wind. Though why not also go with fannon and give him fire also due to the 9 tales. It might give you a excuse to do Scorch release later. Though it could always be another secondary element. Though I guess with the gamer knowing a set number of jutsu of a certain type of element could unlock the element type.

Question 2
I honestly never read it.

Well, this was a great chapter. I like the fact that you have Kakashi actually training team Seven in some regards.

I think it's a rather unique decision to give Naruto a choice in his affinity. A part of me wants to just vote Wind since I really like the Rasenshuriken and the element concept in general. Another part of me wants to vote for Water and/or Earth, since they seem underrepresented in the series and don't overlap with Kakashi's Lightning affinity and Sasuke's affinity for both Fire and Lightning.
But, in character wise, Fire is probably the most logical choice he would make in character, since it's cool and he just got a Jutsu from Sasuke. Lightning is the second most logical if he wants to try and get more Jutsu from Kakashi later down the line, he'd be putting those Int/Wis points to use by thinking longer term on that.

Honestly, I don't think Boruto as a series should exsist. And if it was going to exsist, then it should've been about Sarada. Boruto as a character doesn't work in the protaganist role with what his starting personality is like, and he begins lacking any motivation. Sarada would echo Naruto in her path to be Hokage, but would carry on her back the history that comes with her name and add a layer of significance that would come from her hunting that title, something she could grow to understand as she gets closer to it.
but no, we got Boruto "I hate my dad because he's barely around" Uzumaki.

Canonically, Naruto would most likely pick either Fire because it's cool, or he would purposely not pick Fire due to its association with Sasuke and pick Lightning instead for a similar reason (and because Kakashi has lightning, and thus would obviously have a ton of cool jutsu to teach him)... At this point, he simply would not have enough knowledge about the elements to make an informed decision.

If there is some way for Naruto to get multiple affinities, then I wouldn't be opposed to that choice *wink wink*. In response to the second question, I don't enjoy Boruto, but occasionally when Naruto and Sasuke fight, the episodes are great.

First of all Naruto never complained about getting training.
On the contrary as he never received any he was always looking for people to seriously train him.
And again I hope you add kawarimi and henge to his well deserved arsenal.
Lightning would be best if Kakashi is a serious teacher.
Wind if he's not.
Water wouldn't help if there's no source.
Fire is pretty weak on its own (without a kekkei genkai)
Earth could be useful but I don't remember a jonin in Konoha to be very proficient in it.
