The blood couldnt be mixed with venom otherwise the potion will be failed. If i remember every single cells of the eddy broke are not yet mixed with venom because eddy died after all the cells inside his body replaced with venom cells based on the comics
The same thing happen to harry, part of his cells had been replaced with harry but not his blood unless he lost blood
But this story is too short,
