I read through your story for a while now and I think you did an awesome job with it.
but I have a few thoughts I with to share on it.
The story was most interesting in the beginning when Flint was adapting to his new environment and such. Honestly, the most interesting parts of the story is when it is focusing on Flint and his interactions with the others, as well as his developing brother's relationship with toothless. I especially like the chapter where he reveals he was human and the two have a 'brother bear-Esque moment after that.
The story loses some focus at times with the large cast, but that's to be expected. I mean, not only are Hiccup and his friends around still, but their dragons can speak by virtue of the fact the protagonist is a dragon. You may want to find more times to let the Toothless and Flint have more individual scenes with each other to develop further, as well as find time to let the supporting cast have the focus and develop a bit more( though you have done that a bit already)This is a problem that extends to the main series as well, like Hiicups friends, besides Astrid, always felt one note in my opinion.
I never was a fan of just retreading some of the episodes from the series and what not but with a new character present; I really liked the bits where you changed up the plot(like with keeping the queen alive or the alternate Dagur stuff) I know you already discussed this in previous chapters and have started doing this already, but my advice to you would to just kick the plot lines of the show and do your own thing more. I mean, use the characters from canon as you wish, of course, but I suggest just deviating completely from the path the series followed; it's much more interesting when you do your own thing. You have already shown in previous chapters that you are good at making your own plots interesting.
Another thing I was going to say is maybe have the characters be a bit more pragmatic at times dealing with villains; I know a lot of villains in the series turn good, but it always felt a tad naive that Hiccup and friends thought literally everyone could turn good( I mean, its good to be forgiving of course, but they never seem to draw the line on people, even when they should). Maybe having some villains actually die at times might make this story feel a bit more realistic or mature at times( especially since you have already dealt with mature themes before), or maybe it would be good for the main heroes to at least address more not everyone is going to turn good( and make a point of that) but that might just be my jaded view honestly.
Sorry about the long-ass review. You are doing awesome with this story. I did not really address this in a clear enough way, but you have made the story and main characters, especially the main duo, very interesting and fun to watch. I look forward to seeing more.

Catching up to this story from ep 32.
Phew! It was a nice ride to see how the Queen's conflict has been resolved and by now one of my most intriguing aspects of the story come into play which is Dagur! My god, I thought you were going to be done with him once they 'beat' him, but when the brothers had that talk, I knew Flint was going to go for it! And now I can't wait to see how that develops! w
You expressed a question about maybe doing a group or something like that, honestly, I'd love something like that, cuz I got tons of theories of how this could go and... I really like that from a story like this~ I'll be looking forward to the next updates!

Seeing how the story’s progressed and seeing how far you’ve come among your other writings. So good job and I hope your happy in your endeavors. Good chapter. Are you going to cover the events of "The Eel Effect"? I'm asking because this chapter skimmed over the events of the episode before it. You managed to avert the events of "Dragon Flower" so Flint never had to deal with a very ill Toothless.

So far... still enjoying a whole lot~!
As for the questions in these chapters:
1. I haven't watched the show so I unknow what kind of impact it would have in the story, but certainly sounds intriguing.
2. WAR- Okno, but I feel like giving Dagur a taste of his own medicine would be good, with the dragons managing to keep hold of him the same way he kept from Hiccup. And this way prevent the war as long as both parties swear peace.
3. Heck yeah! I mean, it would clear most of the confusion Hiccup has towards Wildwing and why he's the only one that knows how to write, instead of the thought of him being previously trained by other humans... which could lead to interesting interactions with Hiccup and Flint... or maybe even alongside Galadriel. Which would give him a HUGE motivation to defend her and maybe even help convince Stoick.
Gotta admit all these interactions are really interesting and I'm really wondering what will happen next~! Definitely gonna follow this story!
