Been waiting for this to happen. As always, your first person limited perspective is on point for subtly giving details about the focused character’s little quirks and beliefs that shape his core self. Seeing how ingrained Todoroki’s defiance of Endeavor and what he’s experienced so far was heart-breaking. Can’t wait for Touya’s return. He may even bring uncle Getsen to the reunion!

the quirk science fascinates me. this is the only fanfic I've read that has really delved deep in it and its great cause it can also explain stuff from other characters that felt shallow.
keep it up author!

Huh, didn't know that Aoyama left. Haven't seen too much of the ending, especially given how bungled they made it and such. Guessing you'll have him leave as well, then. Bit of a shame, but fair. Certainly wouldn't mind, though, if ya had him stay. And geez, Denki really is the baby boy now, haha. Looking forward to more.

i'm guessing that koda and shinsou may be talking about how koda's quirk 'commands' animals (even though it doesn't) becuase it's superficially similar to hitoshi's and koda also doesn't like to talk so they've got a whole lot in common

Shouto just had a reality check, maybe that will help him be less emo than in canon, especially now that Natsuo will be close to him, and is trying to get him away from his father.

How did Keiren’s quirk function again?
How did Kaoru’s?
One of them affects reality right?

i've seen in a different story that rikidio got different effects from different sugar preparations, like powdered sugar increasing his speed instead of strength, and so even though he's restricted to only cane sugar (though i do wonder about sugar beets since it's a legitimate natural alternative not a synthetic) i do also wonder if something like having a water bottle, or better yet a camelback with a drinking tube filled with sugarwater might allow him to have far more controlled ingestion of sugar for reduced effects and help prevent his brain from scrambling. i also wonder about sugar liquors, which are chemically speaking alcohols that our tongues register as 'sweet' but they are not actually metabolized by the body, they stay as intact molecules and are passed through the body before being expelled usually in urine or fecal matter, so it may bypass rikidio's allergies and provide him alternative boosts. in the modern world they are sometimes used in 0-callorie drink mixes if you aren't familiar with them.
i really like the way that shoto is getting alternatives to being a fire combat hero, becuase yeah endeavor clearly only values how big and hot a flame can get, not anything beyond that. he's a caveman with a flaming club, even though society has blacksmiths and chefs that know fire is fare more useful controlled. that might actually be good training for shoto, doing things like trying to toast bread by hand.
and poor hitoshi, this is one of the most traumatized versions of him i've seen, i hope he starts doing better once he gets some positive reinforcement for his quirk. i like the idea that singing might enthrall similar to a siren. it might be far easier to enthrall people even who aren't actively responding my not allow hitoshi to control them, just put them into a stupor, sort of like an auditory variant of midnights gas that can be used to pacify an area, which would be a super useful ability, especially if he had a partner with sound dampening equipment would could go and restrain the enthralled villains, though given that people CAN hear through bone conduction it's possible that it could work slowly on even someone who is deaf or has ear protection.

I'm curious how you'll work with Monoma's quirk, if you'll make it just a copy or something like Rogue's power from X-Men. I hope you use that approach so that she doesn't depend so much on her "copy" and doesn't feel so inferior, compared to others, by not having a "power of her own" to turn to and always needing someone else to have some kind of power, that would do wonders for her self-esteem.
Also, I still think the way you present the mechanics behind how quirks work is excellent. There are things I would never have considered, and of which I didn't have the knowledge to apply them. I congratulate you on your theories.
