All he gave was more reasons to not deal with 'shield' as their an american government agency and show it with competency/corruption.
Fury - 'I know all this and done nothing, join me and we'll still do nothing.'
Peter - 'Or I inform my father Norman Osborn that Shield's Director broken into his son's bedroom while they were out and we can see how public reacts to government recruiting/attempting to blackmail children behind parents backs?'

You know I can only imagine what kind of security measures Fury would be trying to come up with if he had any idea of Harry's skill set. The ability to converse with and control spiders alone is a huge security threat. Talking about likely needing heavy sanitation protocols to even think of preventing him from spying on them himself. Then you'd have things like the potential abilities from magic that they likely don't have equipment to scan for.
