Just a note to tell you that I have been reading and enjoying this series very much. :) I've always been a fan of the "teenage sleuth" types of books, though I never specifically read Hardy Boys (I'm thinking I will give them a shot soon!). You are good with keeping the details of the mysteries straight and at telling the thoughts and emotions of the characters without getting too melodramatic. I was pretty surprised that Tony didn't survive in this story, but I'm glad you were brave enough to go there. I'm looking forward to starting part 8 as soon as I get caught up on a few other things. :)

The funeral scenes were perfect. Just as I'd imagine a grieving family and friends to go through when a young person dies. Edmund Wight might be on the right track in putting the Hardys in protective custody but in all honesty, it was up to the Hardys to make that decision. It wasn't surprising that they turned him down flat then kicked him out (literally) especially after basically telling them that they were too emotional to work with. That comes with territory when working in the private detective business. Does this mean that Frank will be leaving Bayport PD? I hope so. He needs to go back to being a team with his family. I don't really like him as a cop. Anyway, I'm interested to see how the final story goes and what the fourth reason was as to why you killed off Tony (I'm still mad!). But I do agree that sometimes you have to kill off certain characters in order to make the story your own. Hello? I killed off Carson in one of mine and he is beyond my favorite when I write! Well, thank you for the story and I look forward to your new one.

I'm wondering who the chick is in Florida. It can't be Evangeline since she's blind but who is it? Am I missing something here? Also, I'm glad Joe went to see Darcy and that he forgave her. It was necessary in order for both of them to move on from this. I'm still pissed about Tony being killed btw. Oh, well. I guess it had to happen and there's an order to your madness! One more chapter and I'm finally caught up and can start your new story. It sounds like everything will come to a head in the next one. Am I right?

the best laid plans of mice and men. joe's idea of going out to meet Angelo was bad to begin with just like Gomez's plans. Sad to say that now Joe is in trouble but I don't think Angelo is going to kill him. He would have done that already if he wanted to. The question is what is going to happen next? And did Callie get to Tony? Where's Frank now because I'm sure he's on his way. So many questions so little answers!

I told ya that gomez's plan was crap! Angelo saw through that one. anyone could see through it! now Joe and Callie are doing something even more stupid and they won't have frank to back them. bad decision here people! I don't trust Angelo anymore than I can throw him...which wouldn't be far because I'm a fat, old woman... well, maybe not THAT old. but I am chunky monkey...well, you get my drift. Anyway, this is beyond dangerous and even tho Callie is pissed at frank neither her now Joe should put their lives in danger like this. they better come out okay!

too bad Tony wasn't strong enough to get away. I'm really hating Angelo right now. he has no intention to let Tony go either. let's hope someone finds Tony before it's too late. as for what happened to Shaun and Joe, I agree with gomez's theory. Shaun seems to be a mystery for some reason. I knew that she was a part of Black Rose even if she wasn't in the actual group. I'm assuming The Conqueror Club was a front for Black Rose, right? Darcy sounds defeated though and I feel bad for her. I hope she gets the help she desperately needs. My suspicions on an inside job is definitely Shaun. He just feels like he's up to something, like he's the assassin or something. But Gomez is right in saying that they have no reason to arrest him at that moment. The only thing is that if they don't act on the suspicion, it might prove to be deadly. And Gomez's plan is bad all around. If Callie and Joe don't go to the meeting place, what makes them think Angelo will lead them to Tony?

Wow. What a confrontation between Frank and Joe! Are they going to be okay in the end? I hope so. The team that they were might be over but this whole experience might make their bond a little stronger in the end. I understand Phil's frustration with the guy at the strip club but they're there for information. I find it rather funny that Darcy is a stripper and that she knows who Angelo is. Makes it sound even more like she's in with Black Rose. Is she? Or is this just another ruse? Good chapter!

I agree with Frank in his assessment of Angelo. The guy will more than likely ask for Joe because Joe is the most vulnerable of the Hardys at the moment. And Iola could probably help but not at that moment. I'm sure she'll talk to Joe in the near future after everything is over. At least I hope so. This mopey, angry Joe is not someone I like. Ok, now that I read the rest of the chapter, I didn't expect that and I should have. Again, Joe is the most vulnerable but, not even realizing it until now, so is Callie. Interesting turn of events. I vow to finish this story and I will! Onward!

Can't wait to see how the hardys continue in the journey and if think that letter joe receives will reveal a big price of the puzzle, but I could be wrong.

Edmund Wright implied the Hardy's reputation has been ruined, and no one will want to work with them. But they have enough backup with sam and their allies. Let the Hardy's be the one to crush black rose, and put those who looks down on them to shame. Let them take their reputations back like they blooming of a rose bud. The Hardy's have a reason to stop angelo and also black rose. I could be wrong but I might know what the twist is. Let black rose wither and fade, so they can no longer hurt anyone, and let edmund wright eat crow. How can he disrespect the Hardys because their human. Can't wait to see how the hardys

that was a close call with Fenton and Laura. seems like they were purposely separated from frank and Joe in order to get at them. Hopefully they can get back to California to help their boys.
