Oh. Again, I see. Almost half the chapter dedicated to a another flashback, practically to filler. You've had the story communicate what the effects of Yharnam have been, are, and continue to be in the story organically before. Jaune's time in the forest during his coming of age ceremony highlighted some of these effects without just shoving in a filler flashback that poorly does the same.
I genuinely still do not understand this strange change. Why are you writing a story set in Yharnam, retelling Bloodborne, with fillers of a returned Hunter. Instead of writing a story about a returned Hunter, set in their world, and telling whatever story there is to tell there. Instead of continuing to dream without reason. If I simply wanted to experience Bloodborne again, I would merely pick up the disk, and play it and read its lore again.
And still, the worst part is that the flashbacks serve not only as a crutch, but also serve to hamper the flow of the story, and works essentially as an info dump. Well written, yes, but without substance and reason. They do not explain the effects it had on the character in as much of an organic way as the actual story can, did and now only occasionally does. Neither do they communicate his past in a more efficient way, and more importantly, in a more enjoyable way. So, if they serve only as a slog to read through, where you sit and know, that this has little to no impact on the actual story and characters, why would one keep reading? It's almost painful, exactly because the characterization has been so good. But it's being dragged down by essentially shoving in an entirely different book in another. As if the page is split between the two.
I'd ask why, but honestly, it doesn't even matter. It's your story in the end, and you're free to choke the life out of it too, even if I hate it. Even if I know others at least dislike that too.
Perhaps I'll read on, in the future. But, I think this is where I lay down my flag. There are other good stories out there, that don't bog down my time with flashbacks that could as well have been skipped over by the reader without any important impact on the story. Without even feeling like you're missing out on anything.
I'll miss it though. What it was, what it could've been. It was enjoyable, while it lasted.
I hope you'll continue to enjoy writing. You are, at least, good at characterization. Even if it seems as if you trap youself in your own story, without considering how it feels to read for someone missing the context and self-created lore that only the author rightly knows.

Am I mistaken, or did Jaune just share blood with Cloud? He cut his hands trying to catch the sword, and right after he was putting pressure on Clouds wound. Is this just a mistake or super foreshadowing, because I'm all the way caught up in the story and there is no mention of the consequences of this. idk maybe I read it wrong

HOLY SHXT! Ramus is on his way and who knows whats going on with that deer! and thankfully the girls are in a safer zone, but im right there with jade and sky with worry. worry for them, their family, and their extended family too.

that was great, especially the code part, the whole situation with jade slowly breaking down at the silence while trapped between the grimm and the outpost guns is played perfectly. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how you get jaune out of this mess too.
