Wow, I checked your profile out of nostalgia and ended up finding this!
I thought your account was dead but now I've got this little bug called hope... Which quickly died a horrible death after realizing your most recent sign of life was roughly 10 months ago.
Your stories were one of the first few fanfiction I ever read (and actually was invested in) so I'm definitely going to check in every once in a while.
Also... since doesn't usually have a lot of reader interaction, You could try to expand to QuestionableQuesting. It's a forum with a couple thousand daily members with a NSFW writing/questing focus, so people would be more likely to leave comments and the like.
Just a little suggestion. Either way, I hope you can read this and feel a little more motivated -therefore a little more likely to give me content!- and I wish you good luck.

Just came across your work. Love it, love the premise behind it, love your approach on the mechanics of magecraft. Not a lot of fanfics delve into the procedures that make up magecraft, one of the only other authors being Ma_Kir. Funnily enough he had also talked about the Matou crest worms and their undeveloped potential under Zouken. I try and understand the lore from TYPE-MOON as best as I can so if you ever want to talk let me know. Please continue with this fic, I think it can go really far.

If you GoogleDoes Shinji Matou have magic circuits" the short answer is YES.
The long answer isAccording to Zouken, she was just the daughter of "a random third-rate magus." While the Matou mage bloodline has died out, Shinji still has latent Magic Circuits, where Illya's heart had forcibly open Shinji's atrophied Magic Circuits when he was used as a new vessel for the Holy Grail. source: TYPE-MOON Wiki.
So basically, whenever you say (or rather when "Shinji" says) Shinji has no magic circuits its confusing. IIRC, it's mentioned in some Fate material. I can't say for sure if the anime, visual novels or some other source mentioned it as well that Shinji Matou has magic circuits. But I do know it's a fact that he has the worst magic circuits.
That said... I am evidently projecting my views upon your work. I must acknowledge that this is an Alternate Universe where Shinji lacks any Magic Circuits and thusly has to create artificial ones Shirou style. That is to say, it makes him seem more desperate for him to be willing to go through that pain and risk just to survive like the worm he needs to be.
I wonder what the longterm effects will be. He has centuries worth of knowledge so he must have ways of mitigating the side effects like how he knew a spell to full the pain from Nerve Circuit creation.
Can't wait to see how effective his worm pet will be like. I also can't wait for Shinji to go find more "pets" hehehe~! "Gotta catch 'em all~!"

The darker the better I say! The Fate fandom is severely lacking in the darkest of the darkest stories. That's or I just haven't found them...yet. I wish I would find them sooner though.
Ahem, bit I digress. This dark start of this story is very, very promising indeed. If it gets darker from here on out, then all the sweeter. I like this iteration of "Shinji" or rather someone using Shinji as a "FLESH SUIT" after being "transmigrated" lol. It's bound to make for an interesting story if this new "Shinji" is as dark or darker than the original Shinji from this chapter before he died and made a wish.
