I probably say “brilliant story” too much when reviewing your work but it is difficult to find a word that truly describes your skill at telling a story. I was entranced and glued to the pages on my phone, eagerly reading chapter after chapter but knowing the goodness must come to an end. Thank you so much for sharing your gift — I hope you continue to do so.

Oh, and to one of the reviewers before me: 'postulate' is not a peculiar or archaic word. I've used it in regular speech before and not sent people scrambling for their dictionaries. Try using context clues within the sentence to figure out what unfamiliar words mean—although there is absolutely nothing wrong with cracking open a dictionary (or Googling a definition). It seems silly to complain about being given the opportunity to broaden your vocabulary, and as a fellow reader I find it offensive that you would tell an author to stop using a word just because it might require people to think. Not all of us want our brains to atrophy, thank you very much.

This is such a satisfying read. Harry deserves a happy ending after all the shit that he's been put through.

I will admit, the way that you write Dumbledore and Molly Weasley gives me complicated emotions. I would've liked something dire to happen to both of them... but I'm also aware that I am a very vengeful person. I think the way you ultimately handled them is, unfortunately, realistic. I do think Ron's near-death reality check gave him a much-needed kick in the pants, and he might actually become a better person in the future, but Molly was just mouthing the words. She is such a disingenuous bint.

One small quibble: when Harry first brought up having the owl necklace made for Hermione, anti-tracking was mentioned as one of the possible features. Was that not part of the finished product, since Dumbledore managed to tag her with trackers?

[Thank you, someone with common sense! I too come from working in education and also mental health, plus I suffered my own abuse growing up.] But Snape loved Lily and blah blah blah. It doesn't matter whether Snape loved Lily or not, or that he turned his back on Voldemort & that group's ideals. Any adult that knowingly abuses children is an evil scumbag who deserves to suffer in hell. That Snape abused hundreds of children for years (verbal & emotional abuse, plus not stopping people sabotaging other's potions or teaching proper brewing & safety procedures so that students were hurt from his intentional negligence is abuse) and seemed to take joy in abusing the students who were under his care means he's an irredeemable, evil scumbag that deserves to suffer in the cruelest manner possible in hell for eternity.

Hi,

I enjoyed the story concept. I believe that the newspaper pieces would have been stronger if someone had been reading/reviewing them and adding a bit of reflection.

Thanks for sharing your story.

this is a good story which is reasonably well written. i have one small issue with the language though. I'm fairly sure that English is not your first language, so I'll offer you a bit of advice, since a peculiar word keeps popping up. no one uses the word 'postulate'... at all... ever. i would recommend using the words 'theory', 'guess', 'idea', 'hypothesis', or 'thought'. please don't use 'postulate' again, as it then requires the reader to attempt to guess what you mean.

Why go to detentions? Enroll in another school. Is she a masochist?
Gee,I wonder why she has headaches?

A good story, though both Snape and Dumbledore got let off to easy.

Thank you for writing,

It always makes me smile when writers refer to things like hospital beds or camp beds as "cots". In British English a cot is only a small bed for babies, usually with barred sides to stop them rolling out. One informal exception to that is that the word cot for bed may be used in the Army because of the amount of time the British Army serve or train with Americans. However, even in the Army, the word bed is much more normal.
