Very clever, recruiting Samara to rescue Jack.
Well done.
It even inspired the germ of an idea: The Self-Insert character wakes up in an unknown place, desperately looking around, barely even noticing that the crowd is entirely women - blue women. And a half-overheard date of 2168...
Until one blue woman in a red outfit tickles a bit of memory...
The Self-Insert blurts out "The Justicar!" and Samara turns to look at the SI, and that's when everything comes crashing down on the SI - along with a flashing neon sign saying "Opportunity!"
So the SI spins a tale to Samara about how their friend Mary recently had their child die - but Mary wasn't convinced the child was dead! She'd been downwind of an early eezo ship crash - her kid might've developed biotics! She was insistent that some group kidnapped her daughter to experiment on her daughter!
Then one day, she disappeared... and the SI got a secret note with only two words - "RUN!" and "Pragia!" The SI booked a flight under their own name to the Citadel, but then thought better of it and used a false name on a flight to Thessia. The flight to the Citadel never made it there..
Ever since, the SI's been hiding amongst the Asari - hoping to be seen as just another Asari's bondmate. Until they had the fortune of running into a Justicar! Could you, Justicar, help me find the truth of my friend's disappearance and last words?
Then Samara does there what she did here.

Are you really surprised ME doesn't use drones? They have a crippling fear of AI and automation, and have stories of rampant VIs going crazy and killing everyone. No way they're going to automate something with the striking power of a fighter.
Oh, and like the controllers remotely controlling the drones are going to be any different than if they were automated. The Reapers could hack them either way
What do you mean they don't have ECM? That's literally what EDI is for, Electronic Counter Measures.
And why do you assume that fleets intent on wiping each other DON'T try to surround each other? You just throw that out there like it's fact, and that the only solution is "DuH pUt DrOnEs BeHiNd ThEm." What about putting SHIPS behind them? Surrounding them? Trapping them in a gravity well? Any number of other ideas!
Orrrrrr Mass Effect FTL works exactly how the Codex says it does because the Codex is the Word of God, and if the creators of Mass Effect say it works like that, then it works like that. This makes you wrong, and me very happy.

Sigh... another person who thinks they unlocked the code.
Can we just accept that the universe just works as they authors say it does, without spending so much time on "Well, if x-3y, than INFINITE energy!" Like, they're describing the tech in the Codex so people who don't have engineering and theoretical physics degrees can understand it.
Sigh... the bullet is lightened in the gun and made to travel at a super high speed. The mass effect (heh) ends when it leaves the barrel because the gun is no longer making it lighter, so it keeps the earlier speed (because it was shot from a gun) and the mass returns to what it normally would without the gun making it lighter.

There's no good reason to believe micro-capacitors can't fit inside of a bullet,"
Yes there is! There's every bloody reason! The smallest pieces of gear with these micro-capacitors are inside pieces of armor - and armor that is at least a foot longer than the longest bullets! AND Mass Effect bullets are the size of sand grains!
What makes you think you can put that in bullets? You just say "there's no *good* reason" without explaining why you think a piece of tech designed to fit within shinguards and thighplates, chestplates, gauntlets, and helmets can suddenly - apparently - fit within bullets that are 3/4 (9mm) to 5 (.50 cal) inches long? Human limbs, torsos, and heads are all significantly larger than that!
Did you get so attached to "micro" that you forgot it doesn't always mean "microscopic" and can just mean "small"? Especially since the full size ones are used on spaceships!
And, again, you're getting to caught up in definitions. You haven't unlocked some sort of secret code just because you noticed the author of the Codex used "repulse" and "deflect" - for the layman, the mean the same thing.

"why didn't the Collectors just fly away with Shepard when he/she had boarded their Cruiser?"
Because their engines were mostly cold, and it took a while for them to warm up. There's a reason there are pre-flight checklists, after all.
Also, there's an easy answer to the # of Reapers question - there are as many as the plot needs.

the aliens have yet to explore the horror genre. or mystery/thriller.
oh yeah, did not one of them watch the fifth element. wonder what their take on that?
hmm...on to the story. so finally the pushback. i assume it's time. are they going to reveal more of their strength? looking forward to this.
oh, and i hope michael the ex slave nee Engineer will have have his time to shine. you made me care for this father-son duo. i hope to see more of this character. tq

i wonder if nowadays people realized that once upon a time, Slavery is not the evil and broken thing the europeans made it to be. once, it serves a purpose, and Slaves are not disposable humans. rather, its a form of punishment, in which the slaves have to work, to pay for whatever crime they did. once they have paid their debt. they earned their freedom and slave owners are responsible for their slaves. if their slaves did crime, the slave owner have to pay for it. if slave owner abuse their slaves beyond what is permitted, they are punished themselves.

when are the media company gonna go with serials too, instead of just movies? we have firefly, farscape, star trek, babylon 5, andromeda of good sci-fi. and then the fantasy section like GoT (except s8), sandman, and so many more. Not even touching the kdramas or other non-english materials. huuu.

well, we could always go with Sam Winchester. haha. Skywalker is a good name. If a little on the nose, perhaps Sam Strider (after another favourite character, far back in antiquity perhaps).
I have to say, i skip most of this chapters, because its useless anyway. The interesting part is after MC gets there. But i can't help to want to hear what Sam would've think about Man of the Moon story (fate/mass effect crossover). What's there so far, anyway.
