I like the concept, but the open is as cliche as cliche gets. Robs are an annoying trope for me. They take away character agency to force the MC or whole cast to interact with the story. I see them as nothing other than an unnecessary plot tool that harms the overall believability of the story by forcing the concept. It is always better to start in the middle of something attention-catching and in-universe. That's just me though. I hate them because they're so overused that even if done well they come off as lazy for me.
Besides that point, the chapter flowed well. The English was readable with no major errors. The visualization used in the writing was a nice touch. Overall, I'm excited to see where this goes. A SI is always made or broken by how the SI is written. I've seen it done well. I've seen it done bad. I've seen it done well, but still be boring to read. The writing has been easy to read, so I'm hoping you will impress me.

Tbh I am not big on how referential this fic is. It feels like every major speech or epic moment by the protag is undercut by some hokey Star Wars quote or cheesy line from LotR, among other notable series. I mean it isn't as bad as Marvel movie quips, but the frequency of it gets tiresome, not to mention he doesn't explain the reference most times and no one questions him on it.

"Sha'ira. ... She was always described as a very compassionate being." She was also described as a member of asari intelligence services in a couple of fanfics I read. So I don't think that mc is taking the situation seriously. But he was just some ordinary guy from our world, not someone experienced in the world politics.

As far as I am concerned that whole 3 chapter long Overarching Plans was a net negative for the story. Author should have just summarized it as "I'm so smart no one IRL or in fiction could have thought of such technology and science"
Those chapters have enough smug in them to power a Californian woke Vegan for 3 years.

The MC is constantly making references that a native from ME universe has no way of understanding. It really breaks immersion and makes me feel like the whole speech isn't between the MC and his current crew but more like author waxing poetic about how cool ideas he has on munchkining the ME setting.

I had to review because I was enjoying the aliens review spots and then they start talking about pharaoh and I'm like wait a minute they can't mean then Zeus gets mentioned! Master of Olympus is the shit! Me and my older sisters love the hell outta of it. And yeah getting entertainment just right is a hell scape. Literally have to count steps and block in people to get happiness right.
