This was a rather good story, a bit sad that you seemingly abandoned it but I do understand that IRL obligations exists and that some times the muse just lefts you in the cold. Your characterization was top notch and it was great to read it while I bathed with aromatic salts, your amazing storytelling complemented the bath to give a rather relaxing experience.

Unohana has the right idea about it here. In canon Kisuke didn't really explain shit to Ichigo. As a result he only succeeded because he vaguely recalled something Ishida told him in passing.

Damn, this chapter by far was awesome! I loved every single approach of how you introduced ichigo to urahara here and even ichigos actual level of intelligence youve given him and the way youve portrayed him here as calm and calculative is what ive always prefered him to be and not some annoying ass idiot like he was in canon. i also love the exchange setup between unohana and kisuke, especially considering that we never really ever saw either of these two interact with eachother at ANY point in canon and i always thought that this would be the perfect way to go about reintroducing the former comrades. Also sounds like with unohana requesting 3 asauchis, then my theory of ichigo maybe getting dual wield or even THREE ZANPUKTO is hopefully true? Im very excited to see how badass youre going to make ichigo here, so far this enitre retelling of the beginning of bleach is EVERYTHING i wanted canon to be. It makes everything feel honestly way more streamlined and not held back by shitty plot writing and forced character regression that i feel kubo purposley made when it came to ichigo and rukias focus on his training/powers as a whole. So really looking forward to more of this story. another great fucking chapter here! The idea of unohana coming into ichgos life early on instead rukia really makes a hell of alot more sesne here as i think it will greatly help ichigo not only become immensely more powerful early on, but also as i stated in my review of the last chapter, ichigo will ACTUALLY get knowledge on his heritage and possibly all forms of kido far earlier on here, which is EXACTLY what should have e transpired in canon bleach. I love the dynamic of isshinn having to face his reality and past much sooner than the sparce glimpses we got in canon. Also i like that you seemingly have ichigos demeanor being alot more calm and collected here, as i hated how impulsive and overeactive he was in canon bleach. He never fully thought shit through and was always getting his ass beat for it for no reason. wow. Really liking this story so far, slight rants here though... personally i dont really care for orhimes character as she is one of my least favorite female characters in bleach and overall all of anime/manga as a whole, i just hate the overly childish and ditsy and blantantly ingornant persona she carries herself with as im not a fan of that type of personality at all. I always thought orhime to be a complete contrast with the likes of both ichigo and tatsuki, where as those two have FAR more similarities between eachother than orhime would ever have and thats why i always hated that kubo never made tatasuki a more important character to ichigo, not to mention shes also a GREAT figbter AND is highly spiritually aware and it NEVER made sense to me that kubo wouldnt make her a more important role in ichigos life as a human/soul reaper. It was such a wildy huge and stupid oversight imo. Also as you stated in the prolouge, My second rant here... i 100% agree that rukia wasted idiotic amounts of time during her supposed recovery with ichigo, i aways hated the fact that ichigo NEVER was aware of his own powers early on as i dont think he would have been anyhwere near clueless in discovering at least some of his quincy powers on HIS OWN earlier on even without borrowing rukias powers to unlock his own. I also hated the fact that she did a pisspoor job of nonchalantly explaining how souls society works as well as the mastery of kido. The idea of rukia deliberately wanting ichigo to die earlier on also makes ALOT of sense considering she seemed to have been growing rampantly jealous of ichigos own power despite him never having gone through the acdemy nor ever even fighting as a soul reaper and she more than likely probably would have let ichigo get killed if it weren't for the simple fact that ichigo resembles kaien both in looks and personality and that obviously puts a huge soft spot in rukias heart for him in that aspect. Going forward there are some things id really like to see early on here that canon bleach imo fucked up royally, the first thing being ichigos mastery of his hollow powers. Going back and watching bleach as an older adult, i despised the way that kubo made ichigo afraid of his hollow powers, YES to a degree it makes sense that ichigo would fear something he doesnt know much about, and that feels completely foreign to him, BUT id much rather see ichigo actually befriending and also being able to utilize ALL his inate hollow powers early on. I dont want ichigo to be overpowered early on if thats not your ploy, BUT i would much rather not see him being some bitchmade, scary ass kid who gets his ass beat for no reason because of his own blind ignorance to his true powers in canon, which i absolutely despised. The second thing id really like to see here early on, is ichigo potentially unlocking his dual wield zanpuktos early on as i always felt that zangetsu was never truly utlized in a more unique fighting style nor was it ever his true zanpukto imo and ichigo never really took the opprtunity or time to figure out his own inner spirits, or even train in his own inner world enough, and the few times we ever did see ichigo fighting in his innerworld or communicating with his inner spirits, it was always at a rudimentary level, that was also something that struck me as odd considering that the best way to further a relationship with a zanpukto as well as further its power is to literally have a good relationship with both your inner spirits and your inner world...LASTLY, hopefully we see ichigo not being made ignorant to his heritage here either cause that is another rant i dont even wanna go into that really made my perspective on bleach change immensely, especially when it was revealed so half assed in the tybw arc. All in all liking the story so far, keep it up!
