Nice that Rookie and Beau are talking more in this one. Gives more time to flesh out her character.
As for the Heat sinks, that part makes more sense now.
That said, I always figured it would've been faster and oddly safer to just float through the tube vs walking across it using mag boots.
What's funny about Rooki's upgraded classic is that as soon as I started using it in ME3, I just couldn't let it go. Is it as powerful as other weapons, no, but when fully upgraded with the magazine upgrades, I do believe it gives you 120 rounds of non-stop death.
Add in the heavy concussion or incendiary shot, and it's a bona fide WMD in the palm of your hands.
It also makes sense that Rook is helping to work on making OEVs without eezo since such an element doesn't exist where he's from. That and, as other fanfics have used, Eezo has a distinct power signature.
The minor glitches in his helmet software also remind me of DS9 when Obrian had to constantly fix, rig, and monitor the mix of Cardassian, Bajoran, and Federation technology added to the station.

Damn, Vakarian is gonna be pissed. Regarding the SSV Ain Jalut, you're right there isn't much on it, hell, it doesn't even have its own page. You have to go to the frigate roaster on the alliance navy wiki page to find it. All we know is that it is the sister ship to the Normandy SR-1 and, it "Attacked a batarian colony world in 2185 (if the Citadel Fleet was decimated in the Battle of the Citadel in 2183)."

Damn Garrus's father and sister have passed, man that sucks. Still, at least his niece survived so it's a small silver lining to the gloom. Hopefully, they are reunited soon, and given that Garrus should be relatively well known among the Krogen due to his proximity to Wrex and Sheppard this will probably be passed up the chain of command at a decent speed.
Over all great work and I can't wait to read more.

I'm sure you know this but I would try to limit as much Forerunner involvement as you can, it will make the war trivially easy.

Oh no, if the Forerunners can breach dimensions then it must be but a casual walk in the park for the precursors to do the same. Maybe even the Leviathans were a form of precursor, letting your creations destroy you is pretty inline with their philosophy.

9) That anomaly in Sol reminds me of the "It followed me home" line from Floodgate. Do you intend to add things like the flood and precursors? The Leviathans and Reapers are kinda the mirror of that for ME, albeit much much much weaker. If you've read that new book with the Didact in it then you'll know what I mean when I say that the Precursors will show the Reapers what a proper harvest is...

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate having a story where the character isn't OP but I really hope that at some point John gets the best Gear and Gene mods available so that, if nothing else, he can headbutt his fellow Krogan Battle Brothers all the time like Shepard did once lmao.
